Presentation software

Hi there,
I was just wondering does anybody know what the best software/program to use is for displaying photos at public events such as a wedding etc so that people can view them straight away and then possibly choose to purchase? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Windows comes with a slideshow app built in (the photos app), though there are others, I use Irfanview for image conversion and display, works well and displays anything.

Lightroom does it.
I find the Windows Slide Show degrades the quality (may just be a setting somewhere.
