Hi all,

My google fu doesn't seem to be working and I've not managed to find an answer so thought I'd see if anyone here used presentation boxes with mats (mattes?)
I have looked at loads of different websites but individual, professional looking boxes designed to hold around 20 matted prints seem to be coming in at around £110-£130 which is more than I was expecting to pay - if that's the going price then fair enough but just thought I'd ask if anyone bought boxes that were professional enough to give to clients but didn't cost the earth (not in a hippie kind of way)

I'm also looking for a source for slip in mounts/mattes, I've searched on here & found companies like Costwold mounts but just thought I'd see if anyone bought both boxes & mounts from the same company & if it was worth me just doing that.

Cheers Andy, will email them about their custom sizes as those boxes are a tad big for what I'm after - I had never seen their website - lots of interesting things to look through & some potential things I'm interested in.

What sized prints/ mounts are you looking for?

I have these in the pipeline but would be interested in what sizes you would be looking for as i could possibly help.

I run a small independent print studio in the East midlands.

Depending on papers, the quantity of mattes and the size, our prices start at £70 + p&p.

Thanks for the reply Ryan, I would be interested in 11x14 mounts with 7x10 inch apertures in white - do you have a website I could see some of your mattes or could I buy a sample one to check suitability? I am only interested in the slip in versions with backing.
I shall keep an eye out on here for your reply & then will PM you if you think you may still be able to help.

I dont have these listed on my site at the moment.

I am more a print studio than a supplier for just the mattes so judging by your post, you sound like you are just looking for the mattes?

Within my print studio, ive got Epson 11 colour pigment printer printing to a range of photopapers from hahnemuhle and canson or from colourbyte.
Diversifiying off topic but can also offer acrylic and alluminium prints aswell.
Mount wise, we use archival white core board in a range of colours so white is no problem.

I go away tomorrow for 2 weeks but im still online so can still discuss, not a problem.

Just so i can check the depth of the boxes on 11x14" mounted prints, how many per box would you be looking at? I normally do 16 per box @ A4 sized mounts.


Let me know your thoughts on this.
