preprocessing group/class photos

After a bit of pointers, I am currently a army instructor and we get a photographer in to take course photos, however sometime he is not available and the course miss out on the photo.

Just wondered how the production of these types of photos are produces is it just a case of opening the relevant size in something like illustrator, importing the group photo, insert a few logos and typing the names of the individuals in the photo across the bottom (front row, middle row, back row). Then hitting print

I'd suggest the PP was the easy bit, arranging the group and the lighting would be ge tricky bit.

Actually it is relatively simple and I have to say that if you are an instructor you will have plenty of access to finished examples and if you cant work it out from them then maybe not the job for you and yes been there got the T-shirt and can sit on sandbags and swing lanterns with the best of them.
