Preparing images for upload to print??

I have recently started printing with DSCL and my images are coming back a tint bit duller to what I was expecting. I am assuming this is down to the upload process as they seem a little duller on my screen after upload.

Is there any settings to use to boost the brightness etc ready for printing or is it as simple as a brightness or exposure boost?

First question is if your monitor is calibrated? If so it may be a paper profile problem and there is a fair bit of help on their website.
