Preparing a file for large print

Hi all

I want to produce fine art prints from my D7000, so assuming a tack sharp image to start with would this be achievable or are there just not enough pixels to do what i want.

The finished article would need to be excellent quality when viewed from a "normal" distance, ie normal when viewing a picture that size in the home

I think it would help if you were to say what size you want to print at.

That said, one way to perform a real world test might be to get a smaller (& therefore less expensive) print done of an area of the finished image at the same scale (ppi) and see how it comes out.
