Predicament.

My college portfolio is due tomorrow morning at 9.
I picked up my prints a few hours ago which are 12 by 8. My portfolio pockets are A4 but my prints are about .5 cm too long for the pockets.

Should I leave them or chop the tops off risking damaging the photographs?
I wish I had a guillotine =( Boo hoo

I can't think of a way around that, unless you used a different portfolio but theres no shopping time

sharp knife a metal ruler and something to cut against?
measure twice cut once, or in fact measure a dozen times and cut in a very scared way
