Lately I have been doing plenty of work related PowerPoint presentations and keep on hitting the next button on the laptop to traverse through the slide deck. Can anyone recommend a PP slide changer and laser pointer in one which is reasonably not very expensive please? Thanks in advance.

If you want to walk about I use two methods;
Smartphone - plenty of apps that can do that
Present from a tablet wirelessly - my most used method

Personally I can't stand laser pointers. If you need that, than you've missed the mark with the content on your PowerPoint. Less content is more impact. My golden rule; never more than six lines and never more than six words per line.

I've just got one, but I haven't tried it yet so im in no position to recommend.

But from my view, I currently use a wireless mouse as a slide changer, but it's clunkier than I'd like. I have no need for a laser pointer, but I do like to have something in my hand whilst presenting. Often I carry a pen, but worst case scenario sees me marking my shirt when I'm gesticulating.

Could try mouse. Cheers

Loads of projectors I used have a clicker, not sure if they're universal?

Logitech R400 at Maplins for £35.

Laser pointers are always useful in powerpoint presentations for emphasising certain phrases or diagrams.

Can vouch for this with win 7 pro and office 2010 works a treat.

Absolutely, 100%.

When I had a real job and had to make presentations regularly, I had a Logitech Cordless Presenter, a predecessor to the current R400, which doubled up as a cordless mouse. Great bit of kit.

I used very few words on my slides, but lots of diagrams and graphs. A laser pointer is invaluable for drawing attention to the key aspects of the slide.

I've had a Logitech R400 for several years now and it's one of those devices that just works and makes it easy to move around instead of standing in one place next to a wired mouse or laptop. I hardly ever use the laser pointer in it, and can't use it at all on the big display screens in the college as it doesn't show up.
