I need a compact, reasonably rugged, 100% reliable means of simply recharging a couple of Nokia 106 dumbphones or similar in the absence of mains power.

Any suggestions please what to get or maybe what to avoid?

I have an Anker, does the job and never given me any problems.

It would probably be worth noting its only good for items that can be charged by USB

Oh poo. Hadn't thought of that. The phones we want to use with a power thingy are both charged via Nokia's-little-jackplug only :(

Thanks for pointing that out, Hugh.

You might be able to get an adaptor if the power output is similar.

Well woop de bloody doo! You are my hero, Dennis. I thank you, sir :)

Oooooooo me too! I bought my wife a lipstick size Anker battery so she can recharge her phone and Kindle on the train. I hadn't thought about how hard it was to get a lead to charge an old school Nokia off of USB. This might solve the problem....

Anker vote from me, I have one from Amazon and it charges my Iphone/Ipad at least 3 times before its dead.

^^^What they all said^^^

I bought an anker on an Amazon Lightning deal last week but not used it yet.

Cheers people. One Anker now its way complete with the necessary lead for the Nokias.
