Can I just ask........... I assume one of the rules of the photo competition is that people don't put the photo on their gallery.... or it will appear in the random popups and wont be anonymous.......should this be stated in the rules...or is this obvious??
 
I think the rules say you cannot have posted it anywhere. I think.
 
I'm not too sure either :shrug: I'm working on the assumption that your entry mustn't have been previously posted and has to be taken specifically for the competition. I'm not putting mine in my gallery until after the competition results are announced.
 
Yes...thats what I think too. I just wondered if some people might take that to mean actually posted on a forum....but they might still put it in their gallery.
 
It shouldn't have previously been posted on the forum and not in individual galleries as it rather blows the 'anonymous' bit. Ideally, shots should be taken for the particular round, as quite apart from the competitive aspect, the idea is to stimulate us all to get off our butts and actually go out and interpret a theme.

Obviously on occasions, people are going to have that particularly apt shot already filed on their hard drives, and we're not going to stop people entering those provided they've not previously been shown on the board or entered in competitions elsewhere where they will undoubtedly have been seen by many people. Again it's all down to maintaining anonymity which we feel is by far the fairest way to conduct the competitions.

I accidently uploaded my "Lines" to my gallery last week, (yes I know, you don't need to tell me :cuckoo: ) but as soon as I realised what I had done, I took it down again. I contacted Mods and said to with draw it if they thought it a problem.
