Sorry if this seems obvious, but I see quite a few posts with POTN in them? What site is POTN, to me it means photography on the net ?

Am I wrong

Sorry... ill considered post by me there fuelled by too much JD last night.

I'm banned from that board for this life and the next three reincarnations, but I shouldn't let my personal experience come into this and we don't want any inter- board tong wars starting. ;)

:D Thats when i do my best yet most regretted thinking CT. Doesn't make it wrong though ;)

Cripes is this the same Cedric Tomkinson who we all know as the mild mannered very helpful mod on Talk Photography..:eek:

How the hell did that....................Never mind its none of my business.:D
 
OK.. short version. I participate in a thread where I give a guy some advice about wedding photography for which he's very grateful. I PM'd the guy suggesting he might like to pop into this board and have a look some time and might enjoy it ...not suggesting that he forsake POTN, and at the time we probably had a 100 members ...tops. Next time I tried to log on I see that I'm banned, a 'spammer' and the ban will never be lifted. No contact or explanation whatsoever. I was incensed at the time but mostly I just laugh about it although I hold the person responsible beneath contempt.

All attempts to put my version of events to staff and admin there have met with stoney silence. God forbid that we ever get that big and that impersonal. ;)
 
IMO its no worse than people that post on there telling others to look on Fred Miranda for certain things. Sales/topics.

TBH I like that forum but stories like this don't impress me.:(
 
Plus its only for people with common cameras, not the specialist user :) :razz: :lol:
