Hiya,

Does anyone else have a list of Photos they want to take? There are a couple of shots that I am always on the look out for and I was just wondering if I am the only one...

The one thats currently rattling around my head is a Tree Silhouette with a lovely Sunset behind... still in search of my tree :D

Cheers
Euge

Don't have a list of shots but 99% of the time I have the camera with me when I go out on business and I look at views, vistas etc. and store them in my sat nav for the return trip when I have more time..

My sat nav has a camera and stores gps co-ordinates with a picture to make locating again easy.

That's a question I've always wanted to ask on here actually!!
I didn't ***, for some reason.......

I have a few shots waiting for the right moment.
The first, and possibly most important to me, and most trickiest has to be a good lightning shot. Tricky as it's pretty rare to get a decent storm, and quite technically difficult.

Another is a really, (like some in our macro section) a REALLY good macro shot of an insect. I have a basic macro lens, a 50mm which is pretty difficult to get a good shot close up of insects as I have to have the lens real close to the subject, which they often disapprove of

And another area I'd like to get into is astro shots (IE the night sky!)
A certain member of the forum has taken some stunning shots of the night sky here, and I'm very jealous

(Subscribed to this thread, as I think it's a great idea!)

OMG, why did the forum block my word?
It was wasn't rude, just a shortened version of ***UGH

:lol::lol::lol:

It happened again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was is wrong with the letters T H O

Yep.. every time i come on here I see things I want to try out.

For me though A forest with light shining through the trees is on my list.. I actually have a notepad at my desk that I write down notes of places/things etc and techniques to try out.

Also I'm wanting to try out long exposure and walk round flash on my car (strobing?).

I have a radio telescope dish in mind which I want to shoot at night. I've driven past it many times while on business but never had the time to stop.

I'd also like to shoot BeHappy, but that's another story :D

I'm wanting to get a decent star trails shot, I now have a remote timer so can do so now. I'm really looking forward to clear, crisp winters nights, as I want to get an image of M42 (Orion Nebula). I would really like to get some good clear shots of some birds of prey.

I do that also, although my sat-nav doesn't have a camera so I've basically got a list of places stored and have no idea why I've stored some of them hehe!

Pretending your busy again I see

How very dare you..........

on topic.....as a newb I have a huge list but mainly would like to try night time stuff but too scared of being mugged so tend to stick to taking my camera out during the day :( Early morning sunrises too.

My first love is landscape so I have loads of places I would like to shoot.

I have seen some stunning waterscape photos and wouldn't mind having a go at some slow shutter speed stuff.
Just need a good location and the time to get it done.

I dont so much have 'shots' in my head, but do have a list of locations. Unfortunately I'm still at the stage where I think storing this in my head is the best plan, so when I do get a chance to go out to specifically take photos, I can never remember where I'm wanting to go!

I don't have a list as such, but there are definately loads of different types of photo i've still to try out, the main being a decent long(er) exposure - gonna grab myself a set of ND's one day. I also would love to get round to trying out some light painting along the lines of Eric Staller and Lichtfaktor.

Although just generally getting out and about with my camera satisfys my needs :)

Oh good grief yes!

I've got an idea that I want to do with my fave model in a wedding dress in the sand dunes. I just need to find a cheap wedding dress that is opulent enough to pull it off. And lug lighting equipment through the dunes, and get a day I can get off work when it's not blooming raining..........

I have loads of ideas and not enough time to do them!

I have ideas going around in my head all the time. My other half sometimes catches a far away look in my eyes and says you're thinking of of an idea for a photograph aren't you. My son said to me this morning do you dream about taking photographs and I said yes son sometimes I do ;)

I have a lot of shots I would like to get, I tried one last week ago but it did not work, so its back to the drawing board on that one

Loads of others I would like to do though.

I vary rarely have ideas about shots before I take them so there's isn't a list really. I did start to conjure up some ideas after being inspired by a boudoir photographer in Seattle but the wife soon put paid to seeing them through to fruition:(

i use an ideas book myself, well i have one everywhere i can be, i have one by my bed, one in kit bag, one in motorcycle jacket and one in the car so if i ever think up a shot i can quickly sketch it down. have spent many endless hours drawing in the car whilst driving too and from shoots.

I sometimes think shot I want to take but mainly think of places I would like to visit to shoot landscapes.

No, never, I don't do posed photos as such, I see my style as capturing what is already there so I just see stuff, frame it and press the small black button.

My dream shot has always been a Barn Owl on a fence post in a field with it's prey.
Inspired by a beautiful illustration in a book of birds I've had since childhood.

:shrug:So far I have the field and post....
