One of the items is a big hint to what im waiting to be delivered! :D:D:D

Can't believe how sharp the 50mm is, and im loving the bokeh! The flashgun is awesome as well, i can finally use flash with my 10-20. :woot::woot:

D80 on it's way then :D Congrats :)

Nothing better than having new toys - I got stupidly giddy over a softlight tent today only to spend the next hour trying to get the frikkin' thing back in it's packaging!!! They are hellish!

I just love new toys:D

Waiting for the postman to arrive is part of the fun, in fact, if he's late, once you are over the initial disappointment, the fun starts again, waiting for him to come next day.

Cobgratulations!

Doug

congrats mate..bet you cant wait for the camera!

Ooo nice, was looking to get the same lens and flash gear in the future.

Nothing beats that 'new toy' feeling! Gives you a good kick up the backside to get out there and get experimenting too.

Now if only Royal Mail would get their act together and deliver my 50mm f1.8, I'd be happy as Larry!

I got a new toy yesterday and another one is due tomorrow! Enjoy playing with yours (new toys I mean)

Focusing was a bit hard due to me only be able to manual focus with the D40 at the moment (black cat in dark room = hard to see when in focus!), but i've been testing out the 50mm f/1.8 tonight, and oh my! I can't believe how sharp this is! Im used to relatively low quality glass (kit lens etc), and although the 10-20 isn't cheap, to be fair, sharpness isn't its strong point.

Sorry for the cliche new lens photo, but its raining outside :p I also used the sb-600 + stofen in this shot, and im very impressed. The difference between this and the onboard flash is immense!

EDIT: broken to link because the forum was resizing the image and making it ugly :D

That's pretty darn sharp! If you don't mind me asking - where did you get the 50mm and how much did you pay? I'm thinking of getting one of these when I can afford it :)

Nice new toys :D The nifty fifty is a great lens for the money

Congratulation, we all like getting new stuff :)

Funny thing is postman came to my house too. Got me out of bed a 8.00am to sign for it, but was worth the wake-up

:D

After multiple problems, i finally have my D80! Just gotta get used to it now, i didn't realise quite how different it was to the D40. Especially in size.....

Slightly unfair comparison as the d80 is wearing a grip, a flashgun and a bigger lens with the hood attatched

You do have a battery grip on the d80 though, so that's cheating! ;)

Gratz on new items, have fun :d

True, does look tiny in comparison though.
