Hi all, not sure if this is the right place but could someone please tell me how you post images in a post?

If your pictures are hosted on Flickr, you simply press the "share" button and copy the UBB code and paste into your thread.

Otherwise, you can use the "insert image" icon on the bit where you type the message, and put the link to your hosted image in there.

I've tried many times to press "insert image" icon and proceeded to post the link in my thread, but for some reason it just shows up as a link. Infuriating, I must be doing something wrong but cant for the life of me think what it is. Will try from Flikr soon and see if I can do it that way. Thanks!
