Hi everyone,

Im designing a poster for a local Rallysprint and I was wondering would anyone have any design idea/suggestions? The posters will be A4 in size. Im using Photoshop CS3 to design them.

Any help is welcome.

Thanks!

I forgot to mention, the main photo has to be of the 6r4 as he was last years winner!

These posters will be on windows in a few towns so they need to be able to be read easily

This link is a bit more aimed at the typographic designer but might give you some ideas that could work with your images..

You could try a more abstract approach, maybe focus on an element (wheel, motion blur etc) and then add your type. Try to use a dynamic angle to add interest and use a font that is legible from a distance. Lost of fonts here and all free.

Oh, and good luck!

How much information do you need to get across? Have you seen posters for similar events?

Hi Padraig, gravel or tarmac ?? Do you have any shots from last year ?? Have a look on my facebook there should be some on there I think.

Hi Marcos,

Its 50% Tarmac and 50% Gravel. I only have these shots below at the moment because they are the top 3 finishers of last years event.

I should be getting more shots later, hopefully some Mark II's.

I need to get across location, date, what time gates open, price to get in, club website ( www.kerrymotorclub.com ) and put in our sponsor photo which is below,

I just grabbed the 'rally sprint' layer, rasterized it (so its just a shape, not live text) added motion blur, resized and applied a layer blend so it wasnt too strong..

Hi lads,

anyone know a good font I could use that you could associate with motorsport?? I just want something different from the normal stuff!

Thanks.
