Now I'm not sure whether I should be embarrassed, ashamed or proud.
But the only person to legitimately hit 100,000 posts was ..............

The only thing that would cause any members post count to drop, would be the "purge" in the classified forums :p

I did make a pact with myself, years ago, that if I ever hit 100,000 posts, I'd be such a sad git that I would need to get a life and leave TP ....
Looks like that's not happening now is it?

LOL! Yes, I do tend to have classified splurges which correspond to purchasing splurges a few weeks/months before. It's entirely possible another might be on its way. I need to ban myself from eBay.

It is funny or strange, when some members post on here, and they only have a very small post count. Which with some members, would equate to about one post per every other year or so.

There are certainly a few of those, sometimes members drop off for a couple of years, 5 iirc is the longest, before they return again.
And of course plenty prefer to read than post.
( I guess they are just shy or persons of very little words)
