Alex what is the mat you have your keyboard and mouse led on?

Cool, I think ive got the same mouse aswell-but does that mouse work ok with the boogie surface?

@Mattfeliks - You sod i've just had a coffee meets laptop moment when I read your post :D

Hi Mate,

Can i ask what all those devices are under the right hand desk and also what monitors you have?

Im guessing some of the boxes maybe nas devices?

Box on the left is my old Windows desktop that I dont really use any more. Next to that is a linux server I use for development but also has a 500gb drive in there for random usage, then the two boxes on the right of that are a 1tb and 2tb Raid 5 NAS (although the top one had a faulty raid card and has now been replaced with a newer version). There are also a couple of 500gb external hdd's down there.

Screens are just 2 20" 1600x1200 dell lcd jobbies. Funny thing is the two laptops either side are both only 17" screens but do 1920x1200.

Forgot the full spec, here it is:

Code:
    * CPU: 16 MHz (15.6672 MHz) Motorola 68030 (32-bit wide)
    * FPU: Motorola 68882 (optional)
    * ROM: 512 KB
    * RAM: 2 MB, expandable to 10 MB using two 100 ns 30-pin SIMMs
    * Display: 9" b&w screen, 512 x 342 pixels
    * Audio: 8-bit mono 22Khz
    * Hard drive: 40 or 80 MB
    * Floppy: 1.4 MB double sided
    * Size (HxWxD): 13.2" x 9.7" x 11.2"
    * Weight: 16 lb.
    * Gestalt ID: 23
    * Addressing: 24-bit or 32-bit
    * Battery: 3.6 V lithium
    * Expansion slots: none†
    * Upgrade path: none

I need a new keyboard though, quite fancy a Logitech Dinovo Edge.

A couple of days ago - testing to see if my ageing scanner still worked!

(and yes - I KNOW that it won't work with the lid up ;) )

Not sure if I can get all the c**p on but will have a go later!

Mid left-Toshiba Satelite L/top. Center- Home built PC (by my Son, he's ace, ask Marcel!) Top Center- Part of my Pocketwatch collection. Top right Part of my Scouting memorabilia. Top Left- walking/photography/bird/Scouting books. Bottom right-Garmin PDA/SatNav. and, if all else fails, Casio pocket calculator. The rest is day to day c**p that has been tided up! (honest)

I forgot the binoculars, to see when my Mrs is coming up the street so I can shut the lot down quick!

A man after my own heart - after seeing numerous posts of workspaces that look far too neat and tidy to have anything productive or busy on the go this is like a breath of fresh air and makes me almost tempted to snap my own mess and post up :lol:

Believe me, mine is only tidy about twice a year for around a week at a time.

The rest of the time (like now) it's a bit of a tip. ;)

I'm one of those people that take a picture of something after it's freshly cleaned dusted and tidy. Like most people do with their cars.

No problems here at all, moves very nicely over the surface and is very accurate. I love the size of it, all the benefits of a mouse mat without even noticing you have one + it protects most of the visable area of my desk :)

i havent got a workspace at the moment, as i'm never in my house for more than 2 days at a time, so i'm just working on a toshiba laptop at the moment.
few months and i'll have myself a new desk/system though

Well? go on then!
It is nice to know there are others out there!
I have a place for everything and everything in it's .... where's me mouse?

I have a photographic memory that was never developed

I keep meaning to take better pics, and this is out of date now as I have dual monitors, but here's my workspace as it was a few months ago...

:lol: It's actually the top floor of an old agricultural barn that's next to our house. Last year's labour of love was to turn the derelict shell into an office/cinema. The project was actually partly the reason I upgraded to a DSLR, as I was documenting the entire build on another forum. Have to say, I thought anamorphic lens optics were expensive until I got the hunger for an 85 f1.2 L :eek: !

I always think threads like this cause a flurry of 'Mr Sheen' purchases... :):)

Here is my desk, need to get some cable tidies for the tv though.

Nah - I have OCD about my desk being tidy. Having a 4 1/2 year old (and now a newborn baby) the house is never 'that' tidy but my office is MY space and mine alone and I like it tidy.

heres my space in a converted garage, and my prized lazy-boy :D

Brilliant!

Love it...

Where did you get that Storm Trooper? I`ve wanted one of them since I saw the original film way back... in fact... WAY BACK when I think about it... :D

And another S.T helmet!!! Man... I`m starting to drool... :notworthy:

Rockin`. :thumbs:
