I'm putting one together and want some inspiration, so links to your sites to have a look at will be muchly apreciated

Mine: http://www.elad.co.uk

Soon getting overhauled to remove javascript galleries and replace with something simpler but with added functionality (such as "buy prints", etc.)

I find a lot of photographers websites are a bit high pressure. Too much "I win awards, I'm great, people love me, great prices" type stuff.
For me, as long as it's tidy, easy to use and relaxed... It doesn't need to have anything fancy. Nice photos and a way for people to contact you is all you really need.

I really need to get round to creating a better flow between the gallery and blog as at the moment they are similar but not the same.

Mine - www.jmaxphotography.com

Im happy enough with it at the minute but think theres changes coming lol

I like that, VERY fast and clean. Just one issue, the two images on your main page (music, Portraiture) look like they should be clickable (have the hand icon instead of usual arrow) yet aren't.

my latest (www.texturestogo.com) which is all hand-coded javascript, php and relies heavily on mysql in the background. You'll have to register if you want to use the previews and see the close-up facility when you click the images. I'm thinking of changing that but need to get the search facility up and running first and other work is pressing.

Looking through people's sites I'm surprised how many use Flash, which mine does, I notice because I have Flashblock in FF so for many of the posted examples I see nothing until I allow it.

I run my stuff through http://www.kluens.co.uk is a worpress powered blog with pixel post running the back end galleries.

I don't like it, but it does the job and for the forseeable future atleast I don't have time to build myself a site.

There's a nice paid for wordpress theme I have my eye on and i'm also considering the zenfolio or similar route to easily offer sales, when I stop buying gear that is.

Thanks, yea im aware of that problem. Im trying to work out the code to link them to the gallaries, but im having no luck as im not a web designer and this is the first flash site ive worked with.

Just thought I woul let you know in case you thought they worked. :)

Thanks, if you or anyone else has any idea about how i can get them to work it would be greatly appreciated.

Still in the process of building it, I think this thread will be in the archives by the time I finish.

I've had the domain for a few months and I only just set the nameservers to my server. Tough job but someones gotta do it :D

Heres mine, totally home made. I have a custom template in Photoshop galleries for the events sections where I import a folder of pictures and it does all the re-sizing and web files. Takes 5 minutes , then I just upload and put in a new link.
