That one is posted just to make everyone else feel better :)

You guys on page 2 just ain't doing it right ... nobody's is that clean ... or in SDK's case dirty ... ... mine were excitingly clean at first too ... then I re-read the instructions and did it properly ... aaagh ...

So come on guys ... come clean ... sorry ... dirty ... :D

I did follow instructions, took pic of white A4 paper at f22 in aperture priority then opened in photoshop cs2 and did auto levels, resized and saved as jpeg for web et voila

:nikon:

I love my cleanish sensor

I have super sonic wave filter

You would buy cheap nasty canon and/or nikon

I wouldn't get to feeling too smug Brummie - I still get Olympus messages from a group I joined ages ago (and the members have upgraded to dslr). Some E500 owners have sensor problems because the shaky thing can't dislodge pollen which is sticky and needs a wet method. So don't change lens near any flowers :)

well i am feeling smug as its a 1000 x better than nikon or canon.
And scouring the forums and newsgroups i found nothing about said problem.
Not saying it dont exist, infact i'll mail olympus to see what they say.

And here again after Ive had a clean up.

Interesting, I'll do mine tonight. Not sure what I'll find after getting dirt sprayed all over my camera at Goodwood.

ok, 3 versions here, partly from (unfinished, still!!) capture nx review

1) auto levels in cs2 and resized....

2) Auto levels in NX resized......

3) Auto levels in NX, Dust Ref photo taken and applied in NX........

Conclusion....... Dust off feature really works, you just have to remember to take a dust reference shot before you empty the memory card every time!

Who needs to clean sensors?

And that looks really good Janice ... what method did you use and is it your first time ...

Well, Oh Green One............. I used a bottle of Eclipse and a pack of digipads specially made for the size of the sensor on the 350d.
Quick puff out with Rocket Air, then one sweep forward, one sweep back and hey presto...

I can't pretend it's my first time!! ;)

I have cleaned my sensor before, got all worried about nothing!! (Now that DOES sound like my first time!! LOL)

Heres mine

I still haven't cleaned the sensors on either of my cameras ...ever. :D

Looks like the Oly anti dust system is working fine for you Lofty :)

Not sure why your exif in the picture says f0 when it should be f22 or thereabouts.

My 6 month old 30D, many lens changes.

Now I need to know how to clean the sensor, more than just using my rocket blower

Oh yea, how bad does it have to be before you need to clean/have cleaned the sensor

Can't play this game.......cam only goes to F/11 !!
