Yes
I've been looking around for a backpack and while searching this forum I found cambags.com. It shows many different bags with cameras and lenses etc in them so I thought it would be good if we had a thread here where others can check out what bags take what equipement.

Choccy...

I use this one:

(though I have a blue trim and I didn't pay that much for it!!)
Nikon Bag
Its very nice but a little bit small - I wish I'd bought the bit bigger one from jessops, their own brand one, tbh for £25 (I paid £30 for mine).
But there we go.

Anyway its currently holding:
Sony A200
Sony 18-70mm kit lens
Minolta 35-105mm metal body
Minolta 50mm metal body
Sony A200 users guide
USB cable
Camera to TV cable
Sony software CD
The case that came with my Sandisk CF
the thingy that goes over the viewfinder
The tripod base thingy whoojamaflip that screws into the camera

not bad for a small bag but its pretty much full now - no room for extra lenses (ok maybe one or two ;))

The Crumpler Zoomiverse XL (in bright red though)

Canon 350D with Sigma 70-300mm lens fitted
Canon 60mm Macro
Canon 18-55mm kit lens
Extension tubes
2x convertor
camera cleaning kit
charger and spare batteries
several CF cards
several spare batteries

Acer Aspire One
250Gb Western Digital Hard Drive
USB Mouse
CF card reader
Charge cable

Nikon Coolpix S210

pens and diary
PSP for those boring bits
business cards
mobile phone
iPod
snacks of various descriptions :)

different bag depending on what I'm doing but either

tamrac cyberpack 8
Lowepro sligshot 300
Lowepro Nova 5

One of these

with everything in my sig plus, tripod, filters, chargers, batteries cleaners etc and all manner of bits and bobs.

Very comfortable to wear for extended periods

I use a Domke F2:

Holds:

Canon 400D body with grip
Sigma 10-20
Sigma 17-70
Canon Nifty 1.8
Canon 70-200L f2.8 (just!)

Extension tubes
Rocket blower
Charger & mains lead
ND (x2) & ND Grad (x3) P filters and holder
Spare batteries x2
AA batteries x6
AA Battery carrier for grip
2Gb CF cards x4
Notebook/Pen
Various connecting cables

Might well need the F-1x soon!

Like Dod, depends on what I'm doing:

  • Crumpler Daily for just walking around
  • Lowepro Slingshot 300. Holds everything and good if I'm on a shoot and have constant access to the car boot
  • Lowepro Vertex 100 (Just bought) for traveling without the car
  • Tamrac Adventure 6 when on the bike and carrying just body and a few lenses

I also have a Sony Alpha shoulder bag, but that is now used to house the camcorder gear.

Wow what a great response. I'll get some pictures of my Canon bag loaded when I get home from work.

heh..did you expect it to become buried in the darkest depths of the forum? its a good idea! Its made me wanna maybe look at a backpack ;)

The one i use the most is a little ng shoulder bag, followed by the small ng backpack, i really like them, kinda old fashioned:

And a couple of crumplers, one i hardly use and one i've never used, 5ft 5 + HUGE bag = unstable and quite odd looking :)

Hiya my every day bag is the Crumpler daily 600

http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=86657

It holds everything in my sig, plus my laptop, plus a Praktica MTL5 B and a couple of lenses with a bit of room to spare.

Oh plus the Polarizer filters, remote shutter switch, couple of pens, a journal... to be honest i haven't filled it yet.

For my lightweight bag I use a Crumpler Jimmy Bo 400, which fits my 350D without grip and my 18-200mm, plus a polariser and a couple of other odds n sods

Finally got a picture of my basic Canon bag. In this bag is enough room for my 450D and kit lens which I'm using to take the photo. Battery charger, Sony HDD camcorder, Giottos head bag, remote control and other documents and cables in the side pockets.

I'm looking for a backpack now so I can get out on the bike with my camera and tripod, I've got my eye on a Lowepro or Tamrac but not too sure which model yet as I've just started this hobby and don't know how much kit I'll have by next year.

Also going on my honeymoon to Vegas in March, so would I be better with a backpack or use this bag for now.

ive had a few but i realy like the kata rucksack

its ideal i dont carry to much kit but theres loads of room

the top sections great as well and i can put a large lens there if needed

havent a laptop so use that compartment for a water bladder or magazines when travelling

on holliday it was ideal on the plane as well

at night i often use a slingshot 100 if i take one body and lens to travel light

I do a lot of hiking so I got a Lowepro Rover AW. Its got two seperate sections, the bottom bit has the dividers for camera, lenses etc and the top is just a cavity like a normal rucksack for holding lunch, flask and other stuff. And you can strap a tripod on the back too.

Currently using a Tamrac Expedition 8.

Fits so much gear that I have trouble lifting it onto my back when full.

Ditto but it's very comfortable once there, well mine is.

I took out some of my bags and started putting gear in for these photos.

Just showing the main camera-holding compartments, but there's many other pockets here and there for those bits and pieces.

Hope this can be of help to some people :)

Kata DR465

Great day pack for Leightweight trekking. Mine contains:

Nikon D200 with vertical grip and 18-70mm lens attached (in bottom section)
Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 (in bottom section)

Main upper compartment holds batteries, pens, notepad, SB800 flash and front pockets hold spare batteries, rain cover, selection of Cokin filters and holder.

Not the most spacious bag for loads of gear, but if you're walking and just need a camera and a spare lens then that's fine. The vertical grip on the D200 takes up axtra space and I reckon without that, I'd ge the flash in the bottom section too.

Great bag for £50.
