Hi all,

I have a question regarding post processing and how its best to approach the order of doing things with regard to touching up images.

Personally I go in (based on paint shop pro X2) and remove the digtal camera noise, then use the smart fix which makes any adjustments to colour saturation contrast/brightness and sharpening etc. Nine times out of 10 this comes out just right.

So my question is should I have a different workflow in terms of processing or be doing things more manually in order to get the very best from my images.

Would be interesting to hear how you all go about processing and what order you do things in. Does it make a difference to the final product doing things in a different order etc...

Thanks for reading :)

Noise reduction is best done as early as possible, and sharpening is best left last (or as late as possible) and done depending on final output for size and type (for print or web)
I tend to work with raw and I sort out colour exposure and noise in camera raw, then any other editing in photoshop, with sharpening last.
Are you working with raw or jpeg?
