New to this site, and as you all seem so friendly I'm going to pose a small question about something that has been bugging me.
I shoot with D3s and a D700. My usual wedding dancefloor set up has been sb900 on camera triggering several 3rd part flashes as slaves on either corner of the dancefloor. This has always worked well, up until a couple of weeks ago.
All of a sudden, even though the slaves are triggering, I am not picking them up in the camera, and therefore missing the nice rim light and crossflash that I've become used to.
I am shooting manually at 1/60 or 1/100 with ISO 400-800 and anywhere between f1.4 (50m) and f4 (24-70).
I know this is probably a simple problem as it affects all my cameras except one d700 and I cannot identify why there's a difference.
Thanks for your patience with this idiot.
