Possible Photo Thief on Ebay

Item looks good though as a 3 print thing (not sure of name)

As much as people hate watermarks through images, Its the only way to go to stand a chance against this. I know it cant 100% prevent it but you got to make it as hard as poss as opposed to Right click save.

id like to know where he got his movie image from, ive looked into that for work and its hugely expensive to get images, let along large ones to print!

 Just for the record, I weren't even trying to beat the swear filter :nono:
The thief in question is called Kunst! It's his name :p

what we dont know, is how big the prints hes photographed are...they could be very small and so look better than they would do on the real image. AFAIK when an image is printed the picture file needs to be 25% of the finished size, so a piccy 950wide at 72dpi will become 3958 @ 300dpi, so can be printed 4 times the size.

Sure you havent got that backwards? and you would need 4 times larger file @ 72dpi to up it to 300dpi

jesus christ this guy is taking the p***. he has blatantly copied film posters and put his name to them.....underworld, res dogs, blues brothers just to name a few:eek: who the hell does he thnk he is:shrug:

like what has been said before mine are not good enough either but if i were pete.....:bat::bat::bat: that is what he would be getting from me no matter where he is from.

Look, I know text-speak is being discussed elsewhere, but what on earth did this mean?

they will get the KY out and strap on a falsey for flogging those

dunno tbh, when we do art stuff, we have to make sure its 300dpi, then they scale up from that..same with the pop-ups we did for exhibition, we had to make it 300dpi and a quarter of the size the finished item should be:thinking:

it means...microsoft lawyers will lube him up and shaft him :D

I'd be interested to know just how much of the work he's selling is stolen. If he's done one person's work then surely there'll be more?

What would eBay do about this? Other than remove the item is there anything they can do?

OK [this is where an "embarrassed" smiley would help] makes sense now. Just didn't see that on the first read through. Perhaps legal terminology is different in England ... or did I just expect better from our mods? :D

dont expect better!

Good point about MS not using lube..

I hope ebay have tightened up on these things now. I had several car photo's of a Ford Capri's stolen from my website and sold on a cd on ebay. These were low res images that the thief was selling on a £5 cd. It took me weeks of trying to complain to ebay about copyright theft, but as the guy was a powerseller they didn't seem to want to move very fast.

:lol::lol: - brilliant definition - thanks for the chuckle!! :D

I'm surprised people are not more angry about this sort of thing, I'm in half a mind to set up an account at the local library, buy everything, and leave plenty of feedback.

The only thing worse than a guy who steals is a fellow artist who steals.

I caught a guy red handed selling website templates with watermarks and so far istockphoto hasn't done a damned thing to him. The guy is still in business and doing it again.

Read the description if you want to get a good idea of what's going on.

Good luck pete

Given that I've posted over 1,500 photos and he's taken just 1 I guess he didn't want to toally rip me off. Just a thought. But go on, give us all your theory :p

deffo Petes, the highlights are blown..

/jk!
