weekly Posiview's TP52 for 2014 Week 52 Support added and FINISHED :)

I like this one Andy. Some great lighting which you've handled well. I like that the eye is straight down the camera rather than looking at the cards. It makes you feel you are the opponent.

Cheers. It's one if my favourites.

Well lit and shot: a really good interpretation of the theme.

Thanks

Hi ya

cracking image Andy , your handling of lighting is just getting better n better ( prepare yourself for a barage of questions at the meet :D )

No crit from me on this as I really like it , the lack of catch lights works for rather than against as it's quite a dark ( read sinister) image

Hi, eeekkk, I know nothing :)

Appreciate the FB.

Cheers.

Hi Andy very sinister and really well lit, it obviously pays to experiment with the groceries,
Have to go now as i am quite creeped out

Cheers...looks like I achieved what I was after :P

Lines... Absolute cracker (y)

Play....slightly sinister look well done (y)

Appreciated the positive FB.

HI Andy, Play really like what you done here the eye draws you in looks even better on flickr with the back ground

Thanks. Just had a peek on Flickr and it does looks better on there

Super shot and good imagination Andy. Nice clean white background which isn't easy at all which I think is down to some good lighting on this. The colours of the bananas is just right - not too saturated. Top shot.

Lovely - nice composition - got the pose of the manequin right. Super yellows too.

That is definately "man stitching" though! :)

Hi Andy, very good and well thought out, nice light and composition,
there is nowt wrong with that

 Excellent Andy, as said by Peter, lighting looks good (y) You sure that mannequins qualified to do that! :D

Just to echo what's already been said Andy, brilliant (n)
Creative thinking at its best, executed perfectly. The even lighting is bang on too, really no crit to add.

Care to share your lighting setup?

Cheers

Hahaaaa that's excellent, your dry January is certainly not effecting your nutty mind :D

I really like how you have set that up, great even lighting as usual and super detail including up to the evenly spaced stitching, I now Nominate you as the official Meet 'First Aider (y)

Man stitching, indeed, although I'm partial to a bit of velcro :)

I have two mannequins's and I keep them well controlled :)

A super fun pic....great imagination and a lot of work in there I'm sure, all on an excellent pure white background.

Ha ha Brilliant.... I really like that...and such a creative idea. Nothing to crit at all for me

Just to echo what's already been said Andy, brilliant (n)

Play - Nice Composition and lighting (Pringles tube excellent) (y)

Close - Really fun and well thought out. Bang on with the exposure to white out the BG.

:clap: brilliant shot, composition is great, colours are great, you clearly have a good imagination.

Thanks all. Appreciate the FB

Lighting, well, I tried lightpaining, using my ring light and even a long exposure....but setteled for a nice simple bounce flash off the ceiling.

First aider....I tend towards the 'amputate and be damned!' method of first aid :)

Cheers all.

Good lighting on the bananas. Great idea well executed.

Most excellent - either you are taking this too seriously or I'm not making enough effort ;)

It's al been said really. Very creative, beautifully lit and strong true colours.

Clever idea, great lighting.

I like this! It's very fun and fits the theme perfectly of course. I've gotta get more creative to be able to compete.

Brilliant Andy, great lighting and detail in the banana skin. This certainly made me chuckle

Thanks all. Wonder what tomorrow will bring :)

Cheers.

Hi Andy
Play - good detail and lighting and I agree with DK about the eye contact to the viewer being spot on,
Close - all been said. Top shot . (y) But I could ask you the same question as you have posed to me - any reasoning behind the layout of the bananas? :)

Thanks. The layout, well, I'd like to get all technical.....but the two other bananas are simplest there to hold the main banana in place. Without them it kept falling over :)

Close - That really is very imaginative and completely different to any other photograph I seen this week. I really can't say anymore.

Hi ya

No crit to add from me....great lighting ( though I would be interested to see the SOOC version :naughty: ) well laid out & a good fun take on the theme....Woody come's in very useful at times (y)

Excellent Andy , you put a lot of time and thought into your projects and it certainly shows

(hangs head in shame )

Cheers. This was my 160th week in a row posting a TP52 so don't be too disheartened...I've had a lot of practice :)

Thanks....

That sounds like a challenge......

So, here's the SOOC. My edits were: slight crop to remove the upper right bit; cloned a few brown bits from the bananas, a quick straighten of the thread and, as I recall, not a lot more.

Cheers.

Close - SOOC for Lynne ;)

Now I'm just plain jealous........that bg is amazing :-)

Well, two epic fails later....bought some bubble fluid that is supposed to harden....was going to build a house....it didn't harden :(

Tried merging an el wire photograph I took with bubbles to make a nice abstract....didn't work :(

I was going to wrap myself in bubble wrap for a sinister take, but I suspect it would not have ended very well :)

Ah well it's all part of the fun.

Back up to the back ups it is then.

Cheers all.

You certainly are dedicated to this project! IIRC, in the last Photo52 I took part in, you would often try three or four different ideas before choosing your winner for the week. Me, I'm lucky if I have two different ideas to begin with -- and most of the time I only end up shooting one of them.
