Posiview's TP52 2016. Week 52 Celebrate added. FINISHED :)

I was just about to point out the twins on the left, what is that structure on the right above the silver car looks interesting, well from a distance.
How was your tour of Icelandic construction sites then.

I'll add to your flickr views no problem :D

Great scene Andy and yes it does look better on flicker :)

That's an excellent shot Andy from a number of aspects, not least the points of interest. Superb exposure capturing all the details and colour and super-wide pano.. (I see the spots ... and the twins!)

Hi Andy ....glad you had a good time, nice pano capturing all the action, do you know what they're actually doing, it looks very remote. I can see the spots, not sure about the twins ! I've had a good pixel peep and can't really spot anything.

Well spotted  and cheers all :)

Very nice Andy... this is one of them 'I was there' feelings which is very odd... I actually like the 'twins' and wish there was another 2 or three of them, now that was a sky we didn't see too often which was a shame, although I must say we did have a vast variety of skies :)

Great image Andy certainly fits the theme for me. They obviously don't do H&S there no hard hat/s!

Cheers, Dean, yeah, more of these skies would have been great :)

Cheers, H&S was almost non-existent :)

Whilst wondering in the lava fields around the Blue Lagoon in Iceland I happened across this little flower. It was growing out of the moss that was on top of the lava. A very inhospitable area and I was drawn to this hardly little flower what was the only one growing in the immediate area.

The tip of the flower does look blown but it isn't an there is plenty of detail in there.

Cheers.

Really nice simple image my kind of thing, nice BG too really stands out shows off its isolation in the landscape perfectly

Very nice Andy lovely DoF helping the flower stand out. Great detail in the head when zoomed in on Flickr

Good job with the Sign of the times pano, well shot and stitched.

That little flower is really good, the shallow DoF and grey background emphasises the hostile growing conditions.

That's sure is amazing how the plant life is getting a grip already, I never borrowed Marsha's macro in the end, I wish I had done a few more close in detail shots of the lava shapes and textures, love the DoF on your one above

Like the panoramic Andy, shame about the bits of dust though. Thoughtful idea for the theme.

Thanks all. Hope to get my sensor cleaned shortly.

Yup it sure was a hardy flower.

Cheers.

Not really the construction site type but love the wide-angleness, and blue sky ... dots 'n all. :D

Flora ... yes plenty of detail in there, little thing on long stem stands out well against the BG. Just a bit tight at the bottom (?).

Cheers, t'was very strange to have the site in the middle of such beauty.

Cheers, it is a bit tight at the bottom. I was in the bottom of a crater, tried a tripod but not happening. Ended up hand held so missed a bit at the bottom. Appreciate the crit

Cheers.

Love the glimpse of a the different environment that your flora shot gives. A bit more space top and bottom might have given a stronger composition I think. Your other flower on the black bg is a really striking image.

Thanks, Emma, fair point regarding the tightness

Well, onto week 27.

My daughter (and I) spend waayyy too much time on our mobile devices and I'm amazed how the time can fly by. Once we get out Isabelle always has a great time, but getting her to put her iPhone down is often a mini battle :).

I saw some 'soul sucking' photographs a while ago and this week's theme was an idea opportunity to have a go.

3 for this week. #1 is 100% smudge and #2 is 85% smudge, can't decide if having some of her face sharp works better or not

#3 is a couple who were sat on a bench, with a nice view but their heads stuck in their phones :)

Cheers.

Number 1 for me works best,
They all make a good point about people being glued to their phones, interesting idea well thought out

#2 daughter face sucking for me, Andy.
Great idea well executed :)

Hmmm! #1 edges it for me because having the facial definition in #2 kinda takes away a little from what's being portrayed. Quite like #3 too - something alien'ish about it. Brilliant idea. (y)

#2 for me, I think I would have gone for even more face definition and had the smudging even more wispy, kind of ghostly but I can see what you were going for and I think you have done particularly 1 and 2 very well.

Great and different take on the theme very clever indeed. No 2 is the best for me.

Just keep it clean in that case Jill (y)

:D

Oi, no more of your rude pictures Jill... especially action shots! [emoji15]

Like them all and nice post-processing work Andy. Prefer the second with a bit of definition of her face.

Cheers, all, enjoyed this week.

I'll catch up on your Actives this week :)

Cheers.

I really like that Andy! Number 1 for me too, although number 3 works well too. Very clever idea and no shame in nicking them off other people - they're your photos and you're processing them, and well done on both. Great idea!

I wouldn't have realised that you had twins in the shot if you hadn't said. Nicely done pano. Glad you had a good time out there in the land of Ice.
Flora - Very shallow DoF, I can't quite help wondering if having the stem in focus might have improved it? Dunno.
Activity - Chuckle. Do you by any chance work for Doctor Who? Looks like a good idea for an episode or two. Active4 for me.

My favourite is number 2 with the faint face in the background. Fantastic idea ! Great smudging !

Thanks, Chris, enjoyed this one.

Hi Andy ....I really like that effect, I should do one like that of my grandaughter :)
Love your submission for Flora ....it has a lovely sense of isolation about it.

Cheers, Susie, give it a try

Cheers, Tim, Yeah, decisions, decisions, think I went for f 4.5 and must have focused on the very front edge of the flower.

Dr Who, nice one, never thought of that :)

Cheers.

100% smudge! I prefer #1. Great idea.
