Posiview's TP52 2016. Week 52 Celebrate added. FINISHED :)

Hi Andy, I bet your daughter's chums are just so jealous of her with such a cool daddy doing mega R&R portraits.

Old ... yes looks like blown Highlight T. R. But apart from that ... brill.

Metal ... 2 & 3 make a great pair of images, love the processing in #3 ... top idea for the theme. (y)

Hi Andy. What I'd give to have a handy model on call. I like both "Isabelle" shots for completely different reasons; the pose in Metal 2 with the hair falling across her face and the softness of Metal 3 - both nicely lit, I especially like the way it falls on her hands. Metal makes a nice abstract - sharp and excellent DoF. Metal 2 is my fave of the three.

Cheers, she's a star but it costs me :) I didn't really notice the light on her had until you mentioned it. Cheers.

Yay! I was waiting for this take...no metal fans in our house :( I really like #2 - the processing is really interesting and Isabelle's expression and hair across her face suggest good movement for the subject.

It took me a while to get the hair right on her face :)

Cheers.

#1 for me Andy, that's a pose I recall being in as a teenager too
I think it works better in colour too.

Is #3 a Cymbal?

Cheers, #3 is part of a sculpture at the Yorkshire Sculpture park that caught my eye :)

Liking the heavy metal shots, prefer the processing in #2, looks a bit more rock'n'roll

Cheers, I enjoyed doing these.

Liking them all - No1 clinches it for me though - like the processing and interpretation :)

Cheers, it's #1 for me as well.

Hi Andy, 'metal 3' is the winner for me, I love the processing, gives the shot allot of interest.

Cheers, yeah I like the dreamy feel to metal 3.

Hi Andy would have made a good triptych if you had 3 or perhaps you have
Excellent

With you looking like Rob Halford on your avatar it couldn't have been anything else, I bet it cost you though

Costs me £5 a session and often only they last 10 minutes, this one lasted an hour :)

Cheer all.

Cold doing a heavy metal pose was she doing it right:D
Nicely excecuted, #2 love the highlighted hand:)

Cheers, not sure she's even heard of heavy metal :)

Hi Andy, very lateral thinking on the theme and love #1 like the lighting in it and sums up metal to me :)

My goal is towards lateral thinking, cheers.

Hi Andy ...good to see a different aspect on the topic .....Iiking both shots of Isabelle, as usual she's an excellent model, lighting and composition works well.

Cheers, Susie, she's a star :)

I like all three images, Andy. The one posted in the image thread is a clever twist on the theme, which I also tried to do. I really like the exposure ad light on the hair. I also really like number tree too, plays to me sort of image. Good luck completing you 52

Cheers, always god to produce something different.

Catching up with my commenting

Thanks for your advice in your first post, very helpful for a first time 52er.

Old - Not sure of the connection to the theme, but I like the shot, would have been nice to see just a bit more of her face. The dark arms on the top with the stars and the colour of her hair really make the shot for me.

Metal - Like both Metal 2 and 3, the processing and lighting work well for me. Did you have to pay her again to model? Maybe I should try that with mine :)

Metal 1 - I may have missed what this is, I have no ideal but do like these type of shots.

Cheers, I'd agree, Old isn;t an obvious submission.

Metal, it's metal 1 for me as well.

Cheers all.

Hehe never work with teenagers!! Even if your are paying them...

I prefer the second shot of the heavy metal, maybe because their face isn't covered. The other shoot looks like a metal booby to me - maybe something a futuristic Madonna would wear!

Cheers, yeah I can imagine Madonna wearing the last one :)

Metal 3 for me Andy. Like the dark processing a lot. Have you thought of adding some texture to this (Ron's grunge brushes?).

Cheeky submission made me smile

Cheeky submission, indeed, caught my eye for the theme as soon as I saw it :)

That's different and like your idea and interpretation. Prefer the second of Isabelle pose and I actually quite like the processing I think it suits the image.

Cheers, I do like to think laterally.

Poor Izzy. The stuff you do to her! I'm reporting you to the NSPCC.

Hope she stung you for a good fee! :D

Ps. What's with the new avi? You should have asked for a reflector for Xmas, fill in those ugly shadows... Oh hang on, they're not the ugly bit!

looking cool there bro ;)

NSPCC, she gets well blooming paid :)

My Avitar, I call it moody :p

Cheers.

I don't think even Isabelle thinks I'm cool :)

Cheers.

(Heavy) Metal, great minds think alike eh? :D
Your poor long suffering daughter, but she make a great model, great idea, well executed Andy (y)

Long suffering :) I won't be doing 53 Isabelle submisions, but maybe a few more during the year :)

I love the first portrait for metal - the lighting is dark and brooding (certainly fits well with a bit of doom metal) and I like the juxtaposition of the anonymity of the head-behind-the-hair against the skeleton looking straight to camera.

Cheers, I was after moody, and it wasn't easy getting moody lighting in our garage :) Glad you noticed the skeleton t-shirt.

Cheers all.

Love both of the portraits for Metal but #2 edges it for me. And I've just seen the theme for this week so maybe another traumatic experience ahead for her :D

Ooooo a selection :D

My first choice was immediately for the first shot, then I scanned down and looked a bit closer... nope, still the first image, nice and dark, liking the take, and for me it pips the second shot because of isabelle's hair covering her face, much more in keeping with my thought of headbanging - Like it

Cheers, both, Isabelle didn't really get headbanging.....just kept looking at me as if I was daft :)

Evenin' all.

NSFW.

This isn't quite what I was after, but I didn't have too much time, as I had to pick Isabelle up from Guides. Given more time I'd have been in the garage for added drama.

Two edits. I'm edging towards the colour because of the splash of red.

Cheers.

Week 2 Captive by aNdy sHeader, on Flickr

Hi Andy, only you would dare to do this, definitely the colour version, disturbing in many ways but excellent.

Hope the wife let you out in time to get to guides

Yep, colour for me too. Very out-there take on the theme, well executed

Colour version for me too, lighting is very well done.

Colour version wins for me hands down - it has much more impact than the B&W, the processing of the image with the frame suits it well. Nicely done :)

The first definitely! Very nice Andy

( oh and I've sorted your link out :p )

Brilliant Andy - colour for me too. Gold medal for bravery.

Was going to start by thanking you for your words of wisdom in your opening post but having just seen your captive image, the first think I need to say is, you are a brave, brave man!

OK...

Thanks for the wise words in your opening post; the number of entries and potential for spending all day commenting on threads is overwhelming. I like the idea of the post image but no discussion thread as it provides an overview of who is doing what, as well as a direct link to the original threads.

I like you metal shots - the air guitar rock chick shots are fun and well executed. I also like the very shallow dof in you third metal shot.

Regards the captive image... great take on theme, like you, I prefer the colour and the splash of red. Great choice of viewpoint - adds to the S&M theme and clearly puts the viewer in the role of master.

My one question who be, 'what would you have said should someone have stumbled on you mid shoot?'

All the best for the next 50

Cheers

:eek:Lmfao, is that a bowler or gimp mask he.......he.....nicely done, how the other half live eh,
Colour for me all the way, love the bravness of this shot. You could end up with a cult following:clap:

Strong image for the theme, personally i prefer the colour photo, it seems to carry the pain, stress and vulnerability of the situation. Excellent.

10/10 for effort! As with others, colour for me - the red (and in fact black) of the restraints stands out so much better.

Lots of cuddly toys featured this week. :) And I like my cuddly toys in colour.

:) My wife wouldn't until me and middle daughter was due home from work at any time

Captive - a wonderful take on the theme, I think I much prefer the image with the colour in it as well great compositionally as well (y)

Yeah, it's the colour for me as well.

Cheers.

Yep, colour for me too. Very out-there take on the theme, well executed

Cheers, I do like 'out there' :)

Blimey Andy ...that's a shot and a half ....really very well done, love the lighting and the frame ....definitely the colour one for impact.

Cheers, rather enjoyed this one :)

Andy. Your mind is warped, and I'm glad you've given us some insight into that here. Deffo colour version for me and sure looks like you've been captured by a sexual deviant

:help: Cheers, sexual deviant :)

Colour version for me too, lighting is very well done.

Cheers, colour seems to be the most popular

Colour version wins for me hands down - it has much more impact than the B&W, the processing of the image with the frame suits it well. Nicely done :)

Cheers, I rather like the colour as well

Well I wasn't expecting that over breakfast! Great pov and the colour one for sure for me - the red of the ribbon against the tattoos makes it.

Cheers, hope I didn't spoil your breakfast :)

Captive! Fabulous. Colour by a country mile ;-)

The first definitely! Very nice Andy (y)

( oh and I've sorted your link out :p )

Cheers, Mr C

The first one for me executed perfectly (y)

Thanks for the positive feedback

This is only the start :naughty:

Many thanks, Simon for the detailed feedback.

The perspective was quite important.

Timing was crucial as middle daughter was due home ay anytime from work :)

A gentleman never reveals his secrets :)

Cheers.

Strong image for the theme, personally i prefer the colour photo, it seems to carry the pain, stress and vulnerability of the situation. Excellent.

Cheers, I did a few compositions but this one worked best.

10/10 for effort! As with others, colour for me - the red (and in fact black) of the restraints stands out so much better.

Cheers, the red does work well

Bravo, sir. Clearly have the balls for shots like that (thankfully not in shot).

Definitely the colour for me, too. Something creepy about it for sure....very 'Hostel' like!

How am I going to get that image out of my mind now :runaway:

Honestly, Andy, you have the strangest mind but I love your interpretations and also the way you've kept your dangly bits out of the way

Forgot to say it's the first one for me

Hi Andy,
The colour is my fav too, as you say, the red adds something to the shot.
This *IS* something that I would have expected from you based on last year :)

Cheers, trouble is....people will start to expect more

Great shot Andy the colour one for me too and wondering where your going to go next...... :exit:

Cheers as above :)

Hostel, nice one, and it does indeed :)

Forgot to say it's the first one for me

I'm starting to get worried about my mental state :jawdrop:

Cheers.

Excellent take on theme. Extremely brave. Superb image. Colour version is best brings out the detail in the tattoos nicely. Bruising on first image just adds to the shot.
