weekly Posiview's TP52 2015. Week 52 Christmas added and FINISHED :)

OMG ... have you tried NHS Direct?

The red eyes certainly give it a fragile look, in the words of Louis Walsh, "I Like It"

Hey Andy, The B&W tree works really well, turned a great shot into an awesome IMO. (y)

As for your fragile, that looked like one hell of a night before! Good Job.

Ouch... I can almost feel that banging head from here! Like the way you've lit this with the head disappearing into blackness [emoji4]

Thanks all. I'll never learn...just about got rid of the hangover.....and started again :naughty:

Cheers.

Bringing up the rear and as normal, I'm a late starter so just on the catch up!

Bliss.... Yup I can certainly go with that! Always had a bit of a fetish about trees, I often talk to them!
Grey sky's with a hint of blue, but hey you can't have everything love the silhouette against the sky, nice green splash of grass sitting under the tree. Lead in winding path taking you up too the tree. Colour version of the tree for me, without splits.... Although the split version does have a certain appeal.
Bliss 2 the sequel, yes that's for me, on top of a mountain somewhere, totally my idea of bliss! Tad on the dark side but a great burst of light in the centre of the shot with the clouds starting to open above you, nice shot.

Fragile.... Nicely exposed, blood shot eyes, temples throbbing..... Looks a bit like my 'please don't tell me we have the grandchildren today look' after a heavy night emptying bottles.

Ppfffttt, I'll just have another drink and that'll sort it :)

Cheers, yeah Bliss 2 is a little dark, and I bracketed so could have added more light to it, but I settled for it as posted.

Fragile, cheers.

Oooo blimey mate, I hope there was some PP involved with them red eyes, a great self portrait, well lit, good Wb with the 'Daz White' sweatshirt... liking the expression you have on your face too, and the fact there is nothing distracting around you, nice one Andy

Really get the feeling of fragility, how many times did you poke yourself in the eyes to get them that red, or did you just go all out last night lol

Quick get that man a "hair of the dog"! :D
Very nicely portrayed Andy.

I do hope the flushed cheeks, well face as well, and the red eyes
were down to lighting or P/s. and not half a dozen bottles of Whiskey :D

Haha, there seem to be a few fragile heads around this week, but your red rimmed eyes really stand out amongst them (y)

Fragile

Well your certainly looking fragile Andy, I feel your pain.

Nicely exposed

Cheers, all, just about recovered :)

There was a little PPing to add some red to my eyes, but not much :naughty:

Hi Andy, on a bit of a rushed catch up,
Pattern, love the fire guard pic great colour in there but impossible to look at for to long my eyes go really funny

I did like the cut up tree it grew on me after a couple of looks but the black and white version above just works really well, the little path up to it really takes it somewhere else without it I don't think it would work as well as it does
Fragile, another unmistakable Andy shot can't look at those eyes for to long, you have certainly captured that next morning feel

as usual a good start from yourself

Really like your shot for fragile, the lighting works well, I'm sure we have all felt how this man feels and one time or another. Great shot.

Cheers. I agree, it was the path that really drew my eye to the tree.

Thanks. Enjoyed this one :)

It's the redness in the eyes that caught my attention on this one. The expression of someone thoroughly dischuffed with the world comes right across. Nice tight crop adds a feeling of claustrophobia. The lighting is good with no dramatic shadows distracting from the skin & expression. Feels like a fair bit of thought went into the shot.

Ooo Andy, you really need to lay off that JD and send it over here!! You are so good at taking selfies! I like the addition of the red eyes it helps to make it stand out, now go and lie down or get yourself some sunglasses on!!! :)

Nice shot for fragile Andy - certainly looks fragile! :)

Its the eyes that make a good picture great there for me too.

Fragile - fantastic image, perfect focus and nice pin sharp detail superb image.

Nice shot for fragile Andy - certainly looks fragile! :)

Great fragile - its those eyes, just brilliant!
:)

Thanks, all, appreciated and I will never lay of JD :)

:D Fragile indeed, I have seen that face before Andy after a little 'session' on the Norfolk meet.
Bang on theme matey, no crit to add, it just works.

What were those eyes like looking from your side? ;)

It didn't take you long to get a selfie in Andy.:) The image looks like the JD has got the better of you LOL including the red eyes. I like the straight on composition and think it can be made even more intense by cropping a bit off top and bottom. Nice one

I'm glad that was mostly PP for the red eyes otherwise you need to get your BP checked urgently

Love the interpretation :clap::clap::clap:

Ha... The eyes work brilliantly. Great expression and pose. The white shirt was a good choice too, but I reckon a fully black background might be less distracting.

BLISS - I like the B&W version best I think it has more atmosphere.

FRAGILE - You ceritanly look it great image

Another great night out in Leeds? Yes, it is certainly conveying "fragile" - shame you had to go through all that pain just for a photograph. still, no pain, no gain.

Hi Andy, knowing you'll never failed to post a mugshot of yourself in every project I been involved in with you.

Great idea on the theme and nice pp too.

Cheers, I'll try and hold back on the SPs this year :)

Cheers, Iain, Norfolk.....ooofff, up at 4:30ish, now that was great :)

Indeed, I won't subject you all to too many SPs this year...promise

Trust me..it wasn't mostly PP :)

Hi, Nick, isn't the BG black when you view it?

Cheers.

Yeah, I prefer the B&W.

Fragile, thanks

Years, the pain was so bad, I'll have another go thus is Friday :naughty:

Cheers all.

hi
Bliss
liking the tree shot but unsure about splitting into three?
the B/w version works really well...would have that on my wall

Hi matey....made it here finally

Bliss....has to to be the Tree shot , I know how much you like those lone tree's ( I've found one local to me ;) ) .I like that you split it in to 3 & could see it as 3 separate mounts on a wall ( think Iain may have mentioned the same ?) I only have one slight niggle , and it could be my screen ( in which case I apologise ) the left hand section of the image seems to be slightly different color wise to the other 2 sections , more muted ? Rather odd as the pic you posted of the whole image shows no variation at all . Picky it maybe but I know you appreciate the small details :) But I still thinks it's a cracking image  & the mono is just divine

Fragile....I might have guessed  ....lovely softness to it & great lighting (y)...
the background has issues though.....most unlike you  to the left of the frame starting just above your finger tips & going down to your knuckle area is a lighter band with almost a a puff of smoke next to the finger tips ,there's few patches to the left of your head on the lhs & again down the rhs finishing in a little curve just to the right of your left hand & above the shoulder.....viewed large on flickr they're very noticeable & almost look like pixelation.....pp maybe ? Hopefully you'll not take offence as I know you want detailed feedback :(

Cheers, Lynne @blondie606 and @NickD, bit annoyed I missed the issues with the BG. Appreciate you taking the time to get in close

Lynne, I noticed the slightly different tone on the LH panel of the tree later in the week but decided to leave it up. I must have nudged a slider while composing it

Lone trees......:banana::banana: I love lone trees. Can't believe I've driven past that tree sew many time but not noticed it. I actually thought about setting up a map in TP for people to post their lone trees on. Might do that over the weekend.

Anyways, had a quick edit, any issues with this one?

Cheers again.

Nice one Andy... great take on the theme and it's very red! Too much time under the sunbed perhaps ;) ? I like the lighting, the pose is great and processing works well. I wonder if you could perhaps desaturate slightly as your face really does look very red on my monitor (which is quite fond of making reds "punchy", mind)... but I'd be tempted to play with the colour balance in PS or something a bit: don't want to change the white balance as the shirt looks spot on, but just the red skin range could be cooled slightly?

I wouldn't want to lose the red eyes too much though - they really work!

Oh, and sorry to hear you haven't learned your lesson about not doing this again ;) Great job!

Hi Andy

Bliss, having been out with Lynne for a week a get the lone tree thing, she was always looking for them here! I like the triptych but agree it would look better as three images without the border.

Fragile, LOL, were your eyes really that red? I have too many memories of feeling that rough, not any more though, my two 6 o'clock alarms do not have a quiet volume!
