Took me a while to decide how to post process this one, I going for a antique feel.

Day 21 was a quick shot. Certain things stand out to me since I started this project!

Day 22 was another shot where I didn't quite fit the cup correctly...ah, well I live and learn.

Day 23 and still stuck with internal lighting...:(

This one's entitled 'Cause and effect' because one card is having a detrimental effect on the other card!!

Day 24.

Another one of my daughter's idea.

I wanted to get the feel of this one right so carfully chose the post processing.

No Costa cups were cloned and I had plenty to spare!

What a fantastic 365 Andy! I shall be following this thread, with my morning cup of Costa! :D

- If you let your local Costa know what you are doing, I bet they'd loan you some of their real cups too, incase you wanted more variety. Though I'm still loving the red cups.

Day 27.

Self timer again...:'(.

Not too unhappy with this one. Plenty of splashes and movement.

I'll be doing this again and I'll bribe my wife/kids to assist.

I also wasn't sure which focusing to use so I manually focused on the cup. Matrix metering. Single focus.

Day 28.

Didn't quite work out as planned - focus wise.

Thought I had it nailed, but appears focus was off....

I also used a low f number to get a good shutter speed which led to a shallow dof.

Anyway, here's number 28 which I'll be reshooting at some point in the future.

I'm amazed at your imagination for this thread :) Def a good idea to ping a mail to Costa with some examples ...at the very least I suspect you'll get some vouchers for free coffee :thumbs:

Bit confused at your numbering but here goes... day 23...possibly cropped a touc to tight as the edges/sides not in shot or was that part of the plan ?

Next one posted with the water ....great shot , love how you got the focus spot on both the cup & water :clap:

Number 28...great idea , fun to shoot ? I may be totally wrong but don't think you have a problem with DOF just missed focus as the background is perfect . I do however stand to be corrected..which I'm sure you'll be along to do fairly soon :lol:

Hi, Lynne, I'm doing the ironing and have to check Gmail as soon as I hear the "You got mail!" sound..:D

Sorted the numbering out, thanks.

The crop wasn't intended. I took loads of photographs and couldn't get the (indoor) lighting/composition right. I finally nearly got them right and checked the LCD to see the RH was off so I had to crop the LH side and I didn't have time to reshoot.

Day 27, yeah, left work early so I have plenty of daylight to photograph. This is one of my favourites.

Day 28, I thought I had this one nailed: bracket 7 shot burst, continuous focus, auto tracking (possibly got the terminology wrong :thinking: ) and again no time for reshoot.

I've read an article in a photography mag about sharpening so I'll give it a go tonight. The (mis) focusing really spoils it...

Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

Anyway, here's day 30. Quite boring, but take in Leeds City Center @ 21.15 tonight, whilst on my own on my way home after a meet, saw a Costa cup on the floor on the way to the pub and decided to walk back from the pub to take a photohraph....with folk walking past me :exit:

Think I got the WB wrong with this one...

Day 31.

Stood in the Halifax at lunchtime and saw at leaflet....stared at it and saw Costa...should I be worried...:cuckoo:

I was reminded of the scene out of The Six Sense what the boy says, "I see dead people...all the time, they're everywhere!".

This is a great effort....:clap: A 365 of anything is awesome but to stick to a theme for the whole thing is crazy good!!! :D

I've got an idea for one we could do on the Scarborough meet.....bring a cup along just in case!!! :thumbs:
 
Still keep looking at day 29, wonder what it would be like with similar processing that you have done in post #41 and #48

I never go anywhere without a Costa cup or at the minimum knowledge of Costa at any given venue...

Day 32. Mental busy lately so had to use one of my 'back up, secondary' photographs.

I've got tomorrow off so I hope to get a few decent ones.

My, oh, my, 1st noticed 1st month has been done!

Day 33.

Arrived to take some photographs of a few power stations at 6am.

Very cold but nice light.

After 3 hours, realised I was shooting in JPEG....:'(

Left at 9.30 to go to the local Costa's.

Arrived around 9.45 be advised by a sweet, elderly lady that they had no hot water.

I grimaced.

I left.

Took a photograph of said 'No hot water Costa' and an old Costa cup I had in my car.

Had to go to White Rose for a five shot Mocha....

Felt better.

Much better.

Yeah I like that a lot, although I'm not sure if theres too much blur (viewing on my iPhone)

I was at work on Friday and came across a squashed flat Costa coffee cup in the road.
I wondered if I should have retrieved it and sent it to you or just took a picture of it. Maybe we should all have a Costa shot in our 365's?

Day 36.

Not as good as I wanted but my poor daughter was cold, fed up with me and hungry...

I'll be revisiting this technique in future.
