Poses

Any tips on good poses? Going to do some shots for a friend as she wants some portfolio pictures. She we will be dressing up and what not. Just my weak point at the minute is poses. Any tips or a site that i can look on for good poses for head shots or full body shots, and also group shots as she we will have a friend or two with her aswell.

Google model poses and you get loads but my advice it to get down the newsagents and get yourself some magazines. Not photography ones but womens ones. Vogue etc. Best source of material you can find. One problem though is that they are all size blooming zero and different body shapes need different poses. It's a start though.

I asked this question and someone linked to a pdf document you can download. I dont have the link but search the forum and i'm sure you'll find it. It's a good starting point for poses.

Like the tip about buying magazines, not thought of that before.

Thats pretty good would be alot better if there was pictures of people and not just drawings. So you can tell what the shot would look like etc.
Will do a google search once im home and print of a few pictures to take with me.
