I'm just looking for some tips to obtain best results taking pics of a new born baby indoors.
I have patio doors which let in loads of natural light.
What would be the best camera settings to use? I have a Fuji S9500.

I would be grateful of any hints and tips.

Cheers
Perry.

I did a shoot 2 weeks ago

Go for natural light ie your patio windows, proberbly best if its not too sunny, but that depends on the feel of the shot you want. If you've got a bean bag, great, just place some white (if you prefer) material over, if you've an Ikea near you, they've got some mega soft blankets in all colours including white (about £2). Then place the baby on this and then fire away so to speak. Regards settings, does it have a mode where you can control the apperture size, ie open it up so as to get some nice blured backgrounds.

I've no clue about portraits but this is the spec's for the S9500 for anyone who can help Perry :)

Aperture Priority Mode is the kiddy, dial in f2.8 if you can, this will help to get those nice blurred backgrounds

also try and get a reflector as this will help loads too, or a large piece of white card.
