Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good value workshop / experience day that gives a good introduction into portrait lighting.

I currently have 2x speed lights but I am thinking of in the future purchasing a basic strobe set up for home use.

I wasn't sure which section to post this so I am trying here first. Any pointers and advice is very much appreciated.

I've done loads of training courses over the years and there's only one I'd recommend and that's Gary Hill of www.gdhphotography.co.uk

I attended a few of Gary's training courses and I'm now on his Progress to Success mentoring programme and I've seen a huge improvement in my photography. Gary's training is very thorough, he starts with the absolute basics and builds from there, without skipping important bits, holding things back or plugging a latest DVD etc.

He is based in Lancashire and often operates out of a studio in Stockport but has recently been doing workshops down south. Extremely good value and prices range around the £125-£150 per day mark. Highly recommended

Thank you. I'll take a look.
