portable studio lighting hire in south

Hello

Does anyone know of a company which hires portable studio lighting. Something like an Elinchrom ranger system. I have some outside portrait work to do and would rather not drive to London and back to hire the kit to do the job.

Alternatively is there a company which ships UK wide?

The Flash centre will send stuff out via parcel couriers at normal postage rates. Obviously works out better if you hire for longer though.

I've used both places in the past when I lived in London or had a job in the midlands (birmingham), but I can't find anywhere down on the south coast and as you say treeman its expensive to get kit posted just for a day's shoot.

I might have to do a round trip to London for a weekend's hire and schedule the shoot for a Sat or Sunday.

An alternative might be to collaborate with someone like me who lives in Dorset and could offer to bring along a Li-on Safari or a plethora of other gear
