Yes
I could do with a new background.

Currently I'm using a grey projector screen. This works fine for me but could do with being about twice as wide as my main use is for landscape format head and shoulder shots. The limitation is that I need to be able to carry it along with all the rest of my kit (3 lighting stands, lights, camera, lens, tripod, laptop etc) on my own on the tube. Also, for some jobs I need to walk a mile or so and am too mean to pay for a taxi :). That's basically how I ended up with a projector screen....

Anything better around? Must pack down small enough for the tube and be mid grey. Also, light.

How about using a black/white reversible from Lastolite and not lighting it? I can get a pretty decent grey off that.

Then all you need is one of the small background stands, which are much lighter than a normal light stand.

Yes - I got that email about 2 mins after my post. Looks perfect.....but it's 209cm long rolled up :(

I picked one of these up a couple of years ago I went for the black one side and white on the other.
Once you master folding them they are really good they come in various colour options.

They also do smaller versions size wise.
It’s a good quality product and far cheaper than the Lasolite ones you can purchase.

Thanks - pop ups are attractive until you try to carry them folded. That folds into 1/3 of its size (which is standard) which gives me a floppy disk of about 80cm in diameter to carry.

I _think_ I need something that goes up under tension like a tent. There used to be full body reflectors you could get like that - but I haven't seen one this wide.

My lastolite comes out at about 67cm folded.
Just had a thought , I have a 5 in 1 (?) reflector, folds like the lastolite, it's 36x48 inches open and 16 closed (40cm?) just measured it, similar to this one ebay this isn't the exact one I got but close enough, the white and black are all you need.
