Rather than doing the shoot myself alone. I would like to invite a few TP folks to have a location shoot with me.

On each occasion there will be 2-4 models and up to 2 MAU (I say 'up to', I do mean it) and up to 4 photographers.

Location: around south east, beach/country park/old station, also open to suggestion

Kit I will offer for share use: Guangbao A400 portable flash; Jinbei Discovery DC600, flash head and ring flash; Pocket Wizards

Dates: (August)12th, 19th, 26th
Recruiting models and MAU in progress

This is totally free except if there is a modelling, MAU fee, in which case we will split. I will try to go with TFP first to save the cost.
You should be responsible on arranging your own travel and have suitable camera and lenses to use.

To keep this thread clean and informative, please PM if you are interested. I will update the post accordingly.
In PM please indicate your location, portfolio if any together with your 1st and 2nd choice of dates to participate. To allow more folks to have ample of time to play, each will only be given one date to come and shoot.

This is a good opportunity to try on location model shoot, play some of my toys new portable kits that widely anticipated and adding some work to your portfolio.

How did you get on with this ? Just wondering what everybody thought of the kit .

almost forgot this.

Output power and colour consistency seemed fine.

The led modelling lamp seemed lasts for ever.

One of the selling point is the dual outlet which allows two heads work in pair -
It is a good idea and can be better.
the two outlet are in 2:1 (400w+200w) ratio, doesn't allow separate control on each light, which is a bit of limitation.

remote control: sync cable jack - I use PW trigger after finding the radio trigger it comes with is not 100% reliable. it would be better if it comes with a photocell trigger.

build quality: overall seemed fine, but the socket caps are plastic and attached to cable via thin plastic string. They went missing in action after second shoot.

I think he was aiming for some else to post who used the kit as well for a more independent opinion

Some of the other folks thoughts / opinions would be good . It would also be nice to see some of th shots from the day/s to see what was acheived .
