Does anyone use them? If so which one?

Hi Sarah,

I use an Ameristep Doghouse blind. It's designed for shooting and is a sprung steel design. Easy to put up, but can take a bit of practice to fold down (but easy once you've got the hang of it). I paid less than £100 for mine.

The Doghouse is a big blind, they do smaller, but it's very comfortable to the point that I could literally stay in mine for days. I got mine from the Sportsman gun centre down in the west country but I must say that it took months as they were waiting on a shipment. They're a cheap shop but you get what you pay for.....

Not sure if there are any other suppliers in UK at the mo.

If you're really interested let meknow and I'll check with a few fishing/shooting contacts.

I've got the double chair folding hide from http://www.ultimatenaturegear.co.uk/

It's great, plenty of room inside when set-up with space for camera bags, flask etc, loads of windows to spot through or take photos through and nice and windproof if you shut all of the windows to keep warm

Ohh, that looks fantastic! Just as I think my "Essential things to get" list is nearing completion somone posts a link to something else that I must have! Even if I do just get as far as the garden with it... :D
 
I got the dome hide from wildlifewatching supplies.....Its not a true pop up hide, but still quite quick to put up and very well made.
 
I've bought some camo cloth about 12ft x 4ft of the web, cost me about £16 It has a good pattern and cutout leaves so you can spy through it. I just drape it over my head as i sit behind the tripod and fasten in front over the tripod legs with a couple of clothes pegs.

I have the ultimate nature gear one man hide. Works well for me, a lot of my birding pics have come from in there. I keep wondering about trying it out in the real world, like at Lackford Lakes but have never quite got round to it :thinking:.

I am only in Bury so if you wanted to try it out send me a PM and you can borrow it for a few days :shrug:

turned up yesterday, had it set up in the living room :lol: - what a great piece of equipment! well worth 81 quid :thumbs:

might do a review of it :)
