Police deleting images!

To be honest in South Africa I'd take my images being deleted as a blessing... could have been much worse.

too true...having worked as a copper there I have seen my fair share!

Should have flashed his TP togs civil liberties card and given it large with I know my rights. Doh!

this kind of report will be common here by 2020 - unless we do something!

You make that sound like we can do something, it's only DSLR users that seem to get any hassle due to being a nice easy target, there aren't enough of us to modify government behaviour, I can't see there being poll tax style riots over the right to take a picture.

Since 911 it's a different world, governments and the public are paranoid, DSLR = terrorist Long lens in a public place = pervert

A friend saw me out with the 300mm f/2.8 taking some pictures of the dog, I offered to take some pictures of a her kids who play in a local football team, she looked at me like I'd suggested stabbing them, ooo I don't think they'd let you do that, I wouldn't even ask them.

100 years from now they'll be wondering why there are no pictures of kids playing in open spaces

In a hundred years time I'll be dead! :P

Hopefully in heaven with a hassy taking pictures of everything.
