I wonder if people in London and Kent could facebook, twitter and google+ this link for me and our rugby club please:

http://www.kent.police.uk/news/latest_news/130128_rugby_club.html

This is not a thread to say what should happen to them or to go on about the merits of police, cctv, social networking, youth of today etc.

Just a plain and simple plea to get the picture out there and publicised in the hope that they catch them

Thanks

Hope they catch them soon! Obviously knew what they were doing by waiting for the alarm to shut itself off.

I can think of a few sports clubs that are quite remote where no one would hear the alarm if it went off.

Is that a set of Para wings on his right shoulder? If so, is there a base nearby?

I hope the vandalism wasn't the usual type (poo all over the place), although that does provide DNA samples to help any conviction.

Just a thought... What's the copyright situation with regard to CCTV images? Does an automatic system have copy rights or does the copyright rest with the owner of the premises/system?

Not para wings - the jacket is woodland leaf cammo pattern.

We had an attempted break just over a week before that, you can see them on the camera with torches looking through the windows after they'd cut the padlocks off our shutters. We think it might be the same lot. Our rugby club is quite remote and as well as the ear piercing alarm, it rings through to certain keyholders who then check the cameras and ring the police if necessary. However, this is only good as long as they don't cut the lines which they did. Our CCTV downloads onto a hard drive

I don't think it is and no, there's no base nearby. There was no poo involved in the vandalism, thankfully

Probably something you can pick up in any army surplus store.

Facebooked and tweeted bar and facilities manager for a rugger club for long enough to know this pain :annoyed: do the club not have red care or the equivalent?

Thanks and Red Care?

I'm assuming we do have something like that then if it rings through and triggers off the downloading process etc

Report says audible alarm which is supported by what happened i.e. 'wait and watch' ... when no response move in and take your time as you won't be disturbed ... would indicate the system needs upgrading.

It's a brand new system. We have had many, many systems over the years. One we had went straight through to the police station but the problem was, the sensors picked up everything and anything. Plus the nearest police station is 10 miles away

As I said, it rings people that are on the village so they can check the cameras and decide on calling the police or not. In this instance, the phone line was cut

I hope the police are successful Kelly.

If anything I'd say that you'd more likely find that sort of clothing in fishing shops. More specific carp specialist, as the pattern looks like Real Tree.
