I saw some pictures the other day of Kylie Minogue during a photo shoot on a beach. What caught my attention was the photographers assistant was using a battery pack and head and had the head (Broncolor) on a very shot pole with a rubber/foam hand grip and would love to know where I can find one of those. Any ideas rather than using a full sized stand folded up.

I don't think I would have managed any appreciation of the ancillary equipment TBH.

I must admit it was a good part of my interest in the image but being a lighting gear addict it did hold my interest for longer.

Thanks for the suggestion but it looks smaller than that but hard to tell. This is the image I saw attached.

I've used a monopod with a screw to spigot adaptor. The only thing missing would be a foam grip at the bottom, but you could attach one if you liked.

Lots of cheap portable heads come with one of those.

It doesn't look like a cheap kit handle, especially as its attached to a MobiLED head plus brolly but I might wrong. I've seen the cheap thin light stands and this picture doesn't look like one of those to me.

I didn't say that's what it was, I said ....

Nevermind.

No worries, people get misunderstood all the time in forums and normally the cause of a major flare up. Your idea of the monopod was great but I was after a solution with some form of native lighting spigot however, I appreciate your input.
