Poldark re-made ?

I loved the original series......which had more than a little to do with Robin Ellis Read all the books as well

Just seen the ad for a remake of the series starting next sunday ( same day of the week as the original was broadcast I think ).......really not sure about the NEW Ross....he's not as ruggedly handsome as Robin was & Demelza......Angharad Rees was perfect for the role, again , not sure about the new lass.

Whilst I'm pleased there's a new series I'm wondering if it will work as well , maybe it's because I watched the original ?

The mine they used in filming is the old Wheal Owles near Botallack, I also saw them filming scenes at Porthgwarra, which is two of the
places I go trying to photograph birds which is how I came to see them filming.

I took some snaps which might be of interest of them at Wheal Owles, the mine is a bare shell, everything else has being added for effect. The mine is about 40 yards from the cliff edge.

Angharad Rees... There's an image to remember! Have to admit that I was unaware of her demise since I was uncomfortably close to my own at the time of her passing.
