POLAROID POGO MOBILE COLOUR PRINTER any good?

hmm, If money comes through next week i#'ll get one and then leave random images around New York lol

In a word, no. If you try to print more than 5 photos as a time it will take about 3 mintues to cool down between each following photo. Battery life is bad and photo quality is really very poor.

We use them for networking games at work and they are adequate for that but very annoying with the cool down and poor battery.

What are you planning in using it for?

For fun

Sorry to hijack thread, how much do polaroid film for the 600 cost nowadays?

I'm not sure on the film but i did own the pogo and got rid of it as soon as i could because the image quality was terrible and the pogo take a week to print anything out and when it finally dose you cant do any thing with it because they are to small, so if i was you i would keep the money.

most 600 polaroid film starts at about £15 for 10 exposures and gets worse from there.

669 can be almost £30 for 10. its an expensive but awesome hobby.

If it's for fun and you have a bit of money to waste then why not - probably less money for the printer and 100 sheets for paper than most will spend on a night on the ****.

I bought my mum one for christmas. She loves it. I don't think the speed is an issue. Yes the quality isn't great and the size is small, but its perfect for a bit of fun now and again. I got it for £25.

if you're a serious kind of person then no, if you're after some fun then they're great

i'd mainly use them to print off from mobile phones via bluetooth though

Hello

For £25 there not bad, we used to trade them at £19 that's not a retail price though but there was much talk of the paper packs not being available as the company that made them went bust

Be careful my friend.

Guys

I'm thinking about one for fun, one of my students has one and it looks good. One question though, my pictures are taken on a camera with no USB iutput, so can the printer read an SD card connected via a card reader to the device, or can I print from my PC? Maybe via a bluetooth connection from the PC?

I just bought one of these.
£20 with a spare pack of "cartridges"

Bought for nothing more than a bit if fun. ...... It was £20 :)

Quick update on this.
Not being able to print from my iphone i downloaded Celeste from Cydia
With that i can transfer my photos to my works phone (nokia 3109 !!!!!)
From the Nokia i print to the pogo.

Ive used 5mb jpegs and the same photo scaled down to 315kb and the print is incredible. The shots are hi key i took in a studio.

If anyone says its not decent enough quality havent actually used this thing, you need to retry.
Its good enough to sell at events, yes its that good.

Impressed isnt the word.

OK,
Not sure this photo does it justice as it looks a bit darker than in real life but you get the idea.
Tasken on my iphone 4 then uploaded onto flickr.

Looks great. I'm looking at the Selphy printers now but will pick up a POGO if I see one cheap.

Cheers

And thas being taken by a 5D Mkii, resized and converted to a jpg, transfered to iphone4, bluetoothed to a rubbish Nokia, printed, photographed by an i4 then put into flickr. :D

Ebay is your best bet.
I got mine from a mate at work :D Hopefully going to pay for itself soon, but with a quicker process once my MBP comes and i can print via that.
