Here's my first colour shot. I didn't realise how long it takes to develop. About 30 mins! The silver shade takes about 5 mins.

@Ped
Was that using the new Impossible Project gold framed colour?
Just bought a pack of that myself but I'm still to use it! Wonderful print, I like the brick work.

Jah that's right. PX 680 gold frame. I put an ND filter on the film pack to use it in my camera (fixed film speed for 100ASA). I used the whole pack experimenting with exposure and think I know roughly what to do now. This was the last shot and I used flash as the light was fading!

Look forward to seeing your results too!

@ped Oh wow I like the results! It was a bit of an impulse buy for me ~ perhaps the "special edition" drew me in? hahaha none-the-less seeing your prints made me glad I did get a pack, I'm looking forward to playing around more {& hopefully adjusting my focus issues this time}.

Totally impulse for me too! I'm also waiting for some black frame and grey frame stuff. Thought it would be rude not to order some classic white at the same time!!

@ped I bought the black frame monochrome film! I honestly can't wait to use it, I was looking for it for a while. I might just have to buy another pack o.O It looks so wonderful hahaha.

Just purchased a 'The Button' model Polaroid camera. I've ordered just one film pack to try out from the Impossible Project. Where else do you guys get your film packs from?

I've used eBay but prefer to buy direct from impossible.

Just ordered some PX70 colour, PX100 silvershade and PX600 black frame silvershade. Expensive fun but it's very satisfying!

hope you can tear yourself away from the polaroid stuff for long enough to shoot a few frames on the Homeless Holga, who should be winging her way to you...

not 'till you've shot the 4 frames and passed it on - if you want it at the end for polaroid experiments, make sure you take the best picture of the entire project - best shot gets the camera as a prize...

Hahaha, I'm liking the effect of the gold framed PX680. Def neeed to take a couple of shots with mine soon!
I think I've managed to fix the focus problem I had but I'll take another shot tmrw during the daylight.

loving that gold frame stock ped

Daughter is now going to use the polaroid to do some stuff as part of her AS level photography final assessment project. [cue another expensive hit for a couple of packs of film :bonk: ] - she was chatting to tutor today and he mentioned someone had done it once before, it was on display in the library. Beth asked if he meant the one where someone had used photoshop to create a portrait photomontage where each element of the montage was made to look like a polaroid. Yes he said. No Sir, she replied, I will be using the REAL THING!! She is still not sure he understands or possibly even believes her

Great work as always Ped, really liking the snowman shot even if I do find it slightly disturbing

Amazing work as usual.
Is that top print, the monochrome with black frame? Wonderful.

Think theres a fault with my own polaroid camera which caused the focusing problems & my land camera "The Button" {identical to your own} only seems to eject the film halfway before it becomes stuck. I'm not sure of the quality of the photographs it can produce which is a shame!

I may just have to ~ they produce some lovely photographs.. I'm currenting shooting with the gold framed film at the moment ~ it's wonderful!

All a bit too exquisite for me, I'll stick to my rubbish old flash and FP-100C :D

ped Ooh, no I did't kno about the gray framed film ~ don't tempt me! hahaha.

making me want a polariod now :(
is there a not too expensive, robust film?
main subject would be a couple of kids, 3 and 6 years old, and they love to handle everything

Yes, the current Impossible Project 'Colour Protection' film is pretty good. No need to shade it when it ejects from the camera. It's still fairly sensitive to temperature during development, though.

I tired the "Colour Protection" film, and i loved it, the colours came out warm and solid. Its so much better that the "Cool Shade" film that mostly came out alittle desaturated :(

Just to add I have a Polaroid 110A, 600SE system conversion here to let go if anyone is interested. Letting go because im short on cash. (Sorry if i wasnt meant to post this here, let me know and i will remove it)

I usually take photographs with Fuji peel-apart instant films, that is so much cheaper compared to impossible project films, but have to say they feel different, it comes down to what you prefer at the end of the day~

so looking at 1quid a shot with fuji, and 2 with impossible project...
wonder how cheap I can get a camera :-)

There are quite alot of cameras around.

For FP100C/3000B you could look at Polaroid Land cameras 100/250/350/360/450 etc for an automatic camera. For manual controls, cameras like Polaroid 600SE, converted 110A/B, Fuji FP-1, or the Land camera 180/185/190 series.

Impossible project, you could maybe get yourself a nice SX-70, there are many other cameras available too.

Hope thats helpful~

yeah thats helpful :D, i do normaly give myself a budget of 10-15quid on a film camera though xD

I got my hands on a polaroid Land camera 100 and 350 awhile ago on Ebay for about 25-40quid you just have to keep "refreshing", which is in a long run cheaper than using the impossible film.

but if you want to use the impossible films there's always Polaroid 1000 have seen a few going cheap at about 10-20 quid, but it does take some time to wait and bid on them. Or could even get yourself a Polaroid Spectra, they use wider film compared to sx-70 or 600 series but the cameras are cheap and close flat so its easy to carry around. Impossible make spectra films too~

I'll join in if you don't mind! I'm obsessed with Polaroids too but have no money so it's a rare occasion.

Above were taken on the new Color Protection film.

I had a full pack of OOD Polaroids film, quite funky!

Not the best scans, they do look better 'in real life'.

Very nice shots! Yeah it's hard to scan them. I tend to take a picture with a DSLR and crop it, but that's tricky too.

I'm selling my SX70 as I'm using my box style camera - I'm taking it when I go away and asking tourists to take a picture of me with it in different places. I can't trust them to focus with the SX70 so I'd prefer to spend the £ on film. There's a small crack in the top of the body though which is on the listing. I don't know if I'm allowed to post a link to the auction here, though. I'm sure you can find it if you look hard enough.

Here's a pic:

that darkening off the sides might be it lifting slightly off the flatbed of the scanner ? or is there a frame with some depth/height around the pic? that might lift it off and be like a soft focus.

I could be wrong on both counts cos im a plonker with no polariod experience :)

I usually take mine with a DSLR too, but that's because I don't have a scanner with me.
