Polarising Filter - Turny bit

Sorry, apalling title for a first post!

I've just recently bought a Hama polarising filter for my Panasonic FZ38 and although it works brilliantly, there is one slight problem....

There is a small bar sticking out from the ring of the filter to aid turning it. This is very useful.....except when you are reviewing your photos and the camera auto-retracts the lens. This bar then doesn't allow the lens to fully retract, jamming the lens in a position where it won't fully retract, won't extend and won't easily allow you to get the filter of...

I managed to get it off in the end and no damage was done, but this could prove to be very annoying when out taking lots of photos where I want the filter on.

So, does anyone know any 46mm filters that DON'T have this little bar on the filter? The images of the Hoya ones look like they don't so that looks like a good bet, but if anyone else has any recommendations then fire away!

Haha, that has just put the thought in my head that I'm being pretty stupid here and I could easily just chop the bar off.....problem solved!

If in case it all goes horribly wrong though, if someone could possibly confirm whether the Hoya ones have this or not that would be great!

The Hoya filters certainly don't have a little bar on them. in fact there is not that many that do.

I got a hama CPL for my sigma 10-20 and the first thing i did was unscrew the bar. its not a permanent fixture.
 
Hoya definitely dont have them. My girlfriend has a FZ28 and had the same problem with her hama polarizer - she just bought a Hoya one instead.
 
Oh sorry, misunderstood you (I thought you meant just take the filter off!), cool, well if it unscrews (didn't notice that) then I will.

Yeah, it seems like a useful, but ultimately unecessary addition to the filter...oh well!
