I need an MP-1 sync-cable to link my Pocket Wizard Plus II tranceiver to a Bowens Esprit 500 monobloc, which uses a 1/4" 6.35mm plug:

Anyone know of a UK supplier for these?

Everyone seems to be out of stock at the moment...

can you get the mini jack one and use a standard > mini plug ?
 
No, I'd rather just get the proper lead.
Premier Ink has the 3m length in stock, but I'm going to try and hold out for the 1m length if I can...

I'll order one of those - if it doesn't work I'll just use my old SB28 set to manual to trigger them...
Tried using the SU800 Commander unit to do the same thing but although it fires the flash, it won't sync...
 
you'd be better off using a 3.5mm - 3.5mm jack cable (commonly available) and a 3.5female to 6.35male adaptor. No fragile/crap p/c connectors to break.
 
For some reason the Maplin adaptors never worked with my Bowens so ended up using the proper PW cables. Have you tried the flash centre?
 
Tried Robert White, Speed Graphic, Amazon, Warehouse Express, Calumet et al...most havee them on back order or out of stock.
Premir Ink has the 3m cable but not the 1m cable...

I also have an Interfit IR flash transmitter and a similar Prolinca IR flash transmitter, neither of which work, though they did in the past.

The Interfit model powers-up but doesn't 'flash' and the Prolinca doesn't power-up at all...bizarre.
Do flash capacitors fail after a period of time in storage?
My old SB-28 works fine and it just came out of the same cardboard box as all the other flash accessories..

Flash Zebra has them in stock - and for only $12...but it'll take 2 weeks to get them here...

will do the trick :) 25cm cable so you can hang the pw from the thumbscrew on your heads.

not perfect though... couldn't find any non pocket wizard ones that are perfect...

if you get really stuck, I need to get round to making me a load of these cables too, could make you some too if you want... would be a week or so though, snowed under atm :(
