png from illustrator

Downloaded a trial of illustrator to edit a couple of logos I had designed and delivered in postscript. How do I get from illustrator to a png with background deleted ?
Also, how do I flip a black logo to white in illustrator ?

Need to finish quick as only have the thirty day trial !
 
I'm no expert at Illustrator, but export to photoshop and go from there?
 
Hi testbloke.

File>Save for Web and Devices. From the drop down menu choose 'PNG' (either 8 or 24) and make sure that the 'transparency' box is ticked.

As for turning a black logo white, you need to 'select' your logo - then simply click on the white swatch. If your swatch menu isn't visible, click on 'Window' at the top menu bar and then make sure that 'Swatch' is ticked. :)
