Strange thread I know but anyone help on what this is and what I should be searching for. Daughter has a rise and fall medical bed and it has a night light attached, How I dont know but the plu bit has gone awol. Connecting to this was the female type on short cord and a big adapter type plug to go into a UK socket. The bed is foreign and not much help from manufacturer so Im left stuck. What do I search for or can this night be re-wired on a switched uk flex?

Anyone in the know ???

That looks like a 2 pin DIN plug, as used to be used for speakers (among other things). We've got a couple of sets of commercialmas lights that have a transformer power supply and they use that type of plug. Pretty sure they're 12 volt. Have a look at the bulb and see if it's marked with a voltage. If it is, it should be easy enough to source a power supply (if you need that as well) to suit and also, the shop that sells the PS should be able to supply a suitable pair of connectors for the voltage. If in ANY doubt, consult an electrician.

I'm with @Nod on that one.
