Pleased with my 'Grey' Nikon

Just purchased a used Nikon D5100 body from a well known online Camera Business. Really pleased with it a bargain price and it comes with all the leads battery and charger. Price well below any other UK retail outlet. Am I deluding myself? Will it self destruct after 6 months and I will not have a Nikon Guarantee! Ah well hope for the best, it's made in Thailand like so much camera equipment and I've not experienced any probs yet.

I would image that it is the same as a UK model, all you do not get is the Nikon UK "maybe no quibble guarantee" ……… but presumably you got some sort of warranty from the seller
Thailand … if yours is made in Thailand, the ones that are sold in the UK will be

Nothing wrong with grey imports the only difference I have found is the price being about £100 cheaper.........

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all your positive replies. Yes I do have a six months guarantee which is comforting. The D5100 is a great camera and nice and lightweight after my heavy Nikon D50 and is a joy to use.
