Its supposed to be the season of "goodwill to others" I am trying hard to be nice to people and I am a very unchristmassy person!

So to Sawman, his family, reds and birds - and to everyone else have a happy un-christmas :D

it seems to me Pete and Charlie are at "opposite ends" of the photography
spectrum both have a place and I would be sad to see either of them go
I'm with Colin I am a nosey barsteward and so wouldn't use the ignore function either :D

IMHO this has nothing to do with photography. Someone posted a photo. Someone provided constructive criticms. The original poster threw it back in their face. Thats all it comes down to.
 
Pete I think everyone gets that now hon. Now step away from the thread and stop digging that hole bigger, else you'll fall in and then what will happen if we get one of them famous street photographers to come and judge the 'challenge'... *breathe* ... and you win, but no one knows where to find you cause you fell in da hole? ... :D :p

Yes but he is right, because if you weren't at opposite ends you wouldn't of clashed so bad with Charlie. Charlie doesn't like to edit at all, you do. The friction caused by you both being so passionate about that over time has given you a love/hate (but more hate) relationship, and ultimately ended like this.. now shush man!

I got the gist Pete and chose to ignore the fact that toys may / may not have been thrown and all the other "side" comments as well
In favour of saying that you to are totally different in your "approaches"
both have a place in the wider scheme of things :thumbs:
 
perhaps both people were at fault? pete for what he said and sawman for his reply perhaps both was wrong?

But but but I've barely spoken with the guy. 2 threads really. One seemed ok. The other was a little bitchy and silly with the same problem. He wasn't at all open to criticism and chose to be a bit arsey about our opinions. We only tried to help, posting with the best intentions. My suggestion was it needed better light, in the other thread. Better light! Thats hardly unnatural, but nooooo. He got arsey. I don't think there was any real friction between us, at least non that I was aware of. It was one thread a month ago. Hardly like rh1944 and I. You make it sound like we've been battling all year, we haven't. Its all simply because of one thing. One person was rude to people offering help, again.
