Please sign this.....if a photographer in the UK

correct me if i'm wrong but its one of a long list of Labour Government proposals in the Queen's speech and should they not get another term the proposal wont even get close to seeing the light of day.
So, just dont vote Labour.

Was anybody going to vote Labour anyway? :D Not that the alternatives are any better!

Petition signed!

BTW If a charity or other non profitmaking good cause wanted to use an image of mine on a website I'd probably let them have it free anyway, but I would like to be asked first and have control over how it might be used and in what context. At the very least I might want to ensure that the image is attributed to me. It's my image and I retain the right to charge a fee if I consider it appropriate.

How would Gordon Brown feel if someone used something worthwhile that he's done for their own gain without first consulting him? Whoops, that's never likely to happen, is it? :p

There's not much call for barely legible scrawl in thick marker pen is there? :coat:

Done in spite of the only use for one of my photos would be in a before section with a warning.

Gosh, Gordon's progressed further than I realized!

Signing now. Perhaps if this becomes the law then they should look at allowing us all to copy CDs if it's just for non commercial use!

The proposed changes to copyright law mean that any non-commercial body would be able to put your work on their website for no fee.

Please sign this petition to try and persuade the Prime Minister to abandon the plans to amend copyright protection for photography.

good work

Signed a couple of these now but have no belief that any of them will be even looked at.

They only listen just before a General Election, make some promises then promptly forget them when voted into Government.
