hello,

i have a panasonic fx12 carmera and would just like to know if there is anyway i can change the shutter speeds ect....

as most the time the camera is just on auto and i want to try and do it manually to give me some practice for when i get a dslr.

any help would be great!

thanks ryan.

I would imagine that you can't change the shutter speeds, but you should have exposure compensation options (usually -2 to +2).

hi ryan, no idea how to do it, but try reading the manual if you got one, or set it to m and have a fiddle.

yeah i can change the exposure iv been playing around with that!

this is a setting called iso limit it goes from 400-1250 what will this change?

its on setting 400 at the moment.

thanks :)

so can anyone tell me what iso meens and what it will do please.

thanks.

Good description of ISO here - http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/iso-settings/ - it is basically how sensative the sensor in the camera is to the light hitting it....the higher the number the more sensative (IE you can take pictures in darker places) but also the higher the ISO the more noise you get in the shot.

Not familiar with your camera, so cant help with settings I am afraid :(

thanks very much for that reply jim i understand what it does now.

i know this might sound stupid but what is noise in a picture? i hear lots of people going on about noise in pictures but im not sure what it is!i take it you dont here sound coming out of the picture:)

thanks.
