please help! problem with the film cover

i just got my pentax me super today and tried to load a film in. however, i can't open the film cover after i lifted up the film rewind knob. supposedly the cover would release once i lifted it. i am stuck now and don't have a clue how else am i meant to do with it.

please give me some advises, thank you very much!!!
 
Most of them, you pull up and then there is a slightly further pull up which feels like you are pulling up against a spring/against pressure, which should pop the back open.

If you still aren't sure, refer to the manual which is available here, which should give some diagrammatic help.

i got it open, at last!!! i worried if i pulled further, i would break it!!! such an idiot i am:lol:

metaphorically speaking, you don't break film cameras.....

they break you...

its a nice broked though :)
 
Wait till you get a Konica, opening the film back on that will flummox ya!
