Hi...I have a studio kit with 2 soft boxes measuring 50 x 70cm..

My problem is the big patio window I have in my house where I want to set the studio up...my photography is mainly children and babies...as you can see from the photos I have a glare on the back wall....I am only using one light due to the natural light source available...please can you help as to where to position the soft box or should I use them both?

Please take a look at the photos http://www.thewhisperingwillow.co.uk/blog/studio/

thank you so much :)

Post some photo's up on here. A lot of people are like me and won't follow links.

thanks....but am struggling to upload them... keeps saying file size too big (but they are really tiny photos - 248KB)

Try a Hosting site like photobucket, thats what i use for posting photos on here.

Light bounces off a surface at the same angle it strikes, like a snooker ball off the cushion. Position the light so it's not bouncing off the wall towards the lens.

Assuming your flash heads have modelling lights, get someone to move them while you watch the reflection from the camera position.

will do ...thanks for your reply :)

By the look of it though, and the semi-shiny wallpaper that is diffusing the light in all directions, you may struggle to get rid of it completely. Should be able to shift it to one side.

just one quick question zipslidey(55)- why have you got 2 accounts ?

For the avoidance of doubt, I don't.

Edit: oh right, I see Big Yin has edited the original post above. No worries :)
